Similar to the previous tests with the S21, S22, and S23 Ultras, the S24 Ultra failed the biometric facial scan test.
Yes, it can still be tricked with an image due to its lack of a depth sensor, which iPhone models currently have and are more secure. However, the fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy phones is 100% secure.

Design wise, I think the S9 was the best. The fingerprint scanner was on the back where your pointer finger was, so you could easily unlock it while grabbing it from your pocket, and it was unlocked, ready to use when out in front of your face. Swiping down on fingerprint scanner opened notification/quick settings pannel and up for Samsung Pay. When they created the ultra sonic fingerprint scanner, that deleted the in-screen pressure sensitive home button which gave both a full screen and home button in one. Also, it had face/iris detection crammed in above the screen. There was no dimple/notch on top of screen to crop content out. None of the biometric sensors worked that well for me, but I wish Samsung worked on them to make them better instead of trashing them for today's gimmicky layout.

Interesting feedback. Some people do miss the fingerprint scanner on the back, while others miss the iris scanner.

I prefer the rear finger print reader vs the screen one as well. The Iris scanner was a little obnoxious on the S9 when it was dark but imagine these days it would be invisible IR if they brought it back.

Yes, I rocked a Note9 until last week. I am blown away about how bad the ergonomics of the S24U are. A finger scanner you can't easily tactily find anymore, no Irisscanner anymore, a missing home button, no hp jack, no SD and a dim screen compared to note 9 but for in sunlight, camera not really better, no makro. And all that a ridiculous price.

One of the ways to solve this problem the camera can see the screen pixels so when the camera see any fix it can zoom in to see if there is a pixels in the face of not to be sure it is not a screen mirroring the face second when the camera has been sured the face not a screen mirroring the face or mirror reduce the face then can the camera check the face and the line of the manual security ways on the face id go perfectly I'm a software engineer and i was a security leader at some companies and i see that this idea com to me in the same moment what is your opinion ith this idea and it is good I'm care about your opinions

Could you please provide concrete evidence to support your claim that this is fake? I kindly request that you refrain from making unsubstantiated accusations without proper justification. I have created this video specifically to address the concerns of skeptics like yourself, demonstrating that the phone can indeed be unlocked using a photo. However, it's harder than it looks as I had to test it many times and get the picture taken at precisely the right way.

So Samsung isn't really secure at all in terms of the photo ID. It would be crazy having fingerprint under the display and then also having a face ID to unlock the phone.

How to say that "Samsung" still has work level facial security but hey it's 2D so easier to cheat we must hope that Samsung offers us facial recognition in 3D it would be better

As discussed in the video, this issue may never be resolved without a depth sensor such as the one on the iPhone.
