"The Bride of Frankenstein" Side note, Frankenstein was actually the scientist Victor Frankenstein and his creation had no name as is known simply as Frankenstein's monster.
the racing lay off is over! Our track is opening back up in Sept from being close for the past 4 months and we finally going to be hitting up those times.
hey mike, im turboing my k24 tsx stock motor. what spark plugs would you recommend, i cant find decent info anywhere about colder plugs, and the auto parts shops are useless at anything not in a catalogue. theres not much aftermarket support herre in austrlia for honda's. keep up the good vids
Ive only done a head gasket replacement on a b series but ive rebuilt a whole k series and yes i feel like the k series is more simple once you understand it
I ran Autolites in all of my old school Chevy's(not a LS, BB 427) It was the only plug that would last more than a week. Running 8K full send all the time.
Mike pinto is a cool band .......and..I think a geo storm would be a cool car to have my dad had one as a kid it was black with a manual transmission I remember seeing Haley’s comet I think through the back window when I was little it was definitely a comet in the daytime it was weird
There are plenty of PPA (CRV) heads on K20 blocks. The PPA is the head of choice for all the fastest all motor cars in the world: 4Piston, Prayoonto, JBRE. If you wanna do something silly/backward, put an RAA K24 head on a K20...
Spent an unacceptable ammount of time these past few days watching the whole pink window thing now I'm watching these and you guys make me. Miss my 94 turbo teggy I had in 2004. Now I'm searching for a new body to do it again.
bro, try the superfastbuildmode music: Houling, from the lopus nocte. is kinda retro and maybe you could get a nice mountage with it!. is another suggestion, im loving the content bro, keep the good work!
I’ve got an 08 civic Si coupe 6 speed and LOVE it! Bought it with CAI and long tube headers. What would be the best bank for the Buck if I want more power?
In theory, couldn’t I just get a non-VTEC head with a higher lift camshaft opposed to a VTEC head with fixed “VTEC” rocker arms designed to run higher lift? I’m very new to Honda and their engines but it seems a lot more reliable to get a simple, non-VTEC head paired with a high lift camshaft instead of having to worry about VTEC stuff going wrong. Thanks if you reply! It’s greatly appreciated!
That's nothing back in the day my homie needed a running dc integra and had a single cam d16 laying around swapped that in. And I have also seen a gsr bottom end with a ls head.
lmaoooi actaully have done this build before just after my graduation in 2018 because i blew my head and had a whole k24 sitting in my room and decided to temporaily use the k24 head on my 04 rsx type s and ran like a champ tbh
I don’t think you’ll make more power with the k24 head and k20 block. I looked at the specs for both motors and when you combine the head and block together you’ll end up with a compression ratio of 8:1. Which is lower than the the stock K20 and k24 configurations. There is an extra 11mL of cylinder crown volume per cylinder in the k24. It’ll still be fun to watch tho! Use what you got!!!
Michael David Yeah because in the 1000hp k24 engine Mike use a k20 rsp head from a k20a2, he dont use the retainers, springs, keapers, so her friend take the oem parts to build the 9000rpm k24a1 head.
Whats the point of lockig vtec if you dont get any lighter valvetrain assembly anyway? Will just lose power Down low and drivabilty, but atleast it sounds cool...
Shawn Hatcher we still have it on the engine stand we planning on putting it in the pink widow after we hit 10s with her we going to give it all she’s got on the 6th of next month track finally opened again
