Today we have another fun extreme budget food shopping challenge seeing what vegan weekly food haul we can get from M&S with only a budget of £30. This is the first time we have done this challenge. This video is good for anyone looking for money saving tips, shopping on a budget, anyone conscious of the cost of living or their financial situation, or anyone just trying to save money! 😃

Welcome to Family Freedom!
We are Katie, Bob and JoJo (11), a family of 3 sharing our van life with you! We also have 2 older kids - Sam (24) and Jamie (22), and their respective partners Emily and Aden, and Jamie's daughter - our granddaughter Astrid!

You are all such a lovely family. The shopping challenges are great and what I like most is, Jojo is being made aware of food prices and budgeting. I never thought to do this with my boys. Its something they won't learn in schools. Pat on the back Mummy and Daddy.

Tip: in the last hour-half hour of trading, they can discount things to as low as 5% of original price! Grabbed vegan wraps for 15p before

I think M&S is more of a shop you go for specialised things not so much essentials! Like I love going in and finding different things from there ❤️ but I do think some of their veg/fruit although dearer can be better quality and last better than others 😊! I think you should do a no budget M&S haul as a treat 😂❤

Wow I'm amazed, I didn't think you would be able to get this much at M&S. Truly shows you have to be tactical and thinking like you guys and just resist the temptations. I think you can or should buy any deals you see or like but just keep it out of the weekly budget challenge. If you have the means then why not. Just going through some tough times now and I don't want my son to see or suffer witnessing this. It's not to do with money etc although things are on kind of a budget and I wouldn't survive if I was living completely alone with my son. I just wish things get sorted and people just keep their hands off me and my son 😢😢😢 abuse is not okay 😔

I love these videos. Next time I think writing a list would be a good challenge, so you have to find exactly what you need as opposed to finding the bargain products, would love to see that. Another great video, made my Sunday evening a bit more bearable! xxx

I think m&s tricks you as you’re like ‘that price is so good’ in comparison to their other high prices, hehe, and those good price items don’t always add up to full meals etc.. but yellow labels later in the day, are the one!

We pop to M&S every now and then and they always seem busy. We do the deals or. The reduced stuff to try things and if we like it we buy it again .

I live opposite a large M&S and I have been in there late at night and still found the reduced stuff expensive! They also don’t seem to reduce any of their bakery stuff even though it has to be sold by the end of the day… Their fruit and veg does last longer though! In my experience Morrisons do the best reductions and always sell everything reduced so saves them wasting it!

@@FamilyFreedom yes my local Morrisons reduce things to like 10-20p at 6pm. I usually see the same group of people in the store at that time waiting for the reductions it’s like a little meet up 😂

Whenever I go grocery shopping I will go and grab items that I really need once I've done that I go and decided whether I need things like snacks etc. I also look at the catalogues to see which has best prices. in Sydney Australia where I am from every Wednesday is like a half price

Interesting. For me,it becomes painful the further into the shop. Prices are insane, but they manage to flock you in with the staples being competitive like milk vegetables,some meats ,butter is supposed to be a good price too and comparable. Most of all,we all are varying needs of tastes and abilities to afford marks. But,oh how glad in a way I am that they are not closer to me 👌🙌👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Looks like you got a good range of basic essentials and everyday foods but with the plant kitchen stuff it seemed to be more pricy that other branded plant foods and meals but the deals you did get from that range was good. I think it be hard to get (as a budget vegan especially) every weeks shop from m&s using a budget so like you said you could get a few bits from there but the minority of your shop from another supermarket! Great video all the same and thank you for doing they they are not only a great help for budget food and shop finds but also an insight to non-vegans how easy a vegan lifestyle can be budget or no budget. #freegang #livebutnotlive #justkeeprising

Loved this one, I always end up in M&S for a few treat bits and unique items to themselves. But always grab the banana bags ❤ I love a riper banana - can’t stand a green, this weekends I had 7 in my bag, the most was 13 ❤ bloody great. Sometimes they’re green and others they’re a bit brown or split but always freeze ❤

M&S may be expensive. However for someone with food allergies they sell lot of tasty foods that we can eat. For instance I have a dairy allergy but still want to eat meat and of all the supermarkets I can get more pre made meals that are dairy free and high quality From M&S than any other supermarket. I get my M&S foods through Ocado.

My mum said she just got carrots in lidl for 50p and m & s were 40p! The potato's are good for £1! There are a lot of people on restricted incomes just now so its a good example However... you have only bought enough protein for one person not three. More beans or tofu if your a plant based person is a cheap solution,

M&S have a price check with tesco so if they are dearer they give you the difference back

Wow 25p for all those bananas i live in Cyprus and they produce bananas so not imported and for maybe 3 bananas i pay 2.37 so so expensive here even in produced produced here and not imported . I know my special diet is very expensive here but i went shops yesterday and bought like maybe 7items which cost me 24€ you have done a weekly shop of basics which would easily help a family . And the wages here do not cover the prices we pay for things some people work for 2€ an hour 😥

@@FamilyFreedom thank you for replying . And yes that would be great let me know if you do and the area and can help out with locations ect . I have crohns disease so my foods are different to other peoples but im sure a normal family would love to know how to make an easy shop for themselves . I know someone who works 2 jobs 6days a week and she still struggles with money etc . My last job 4years ago i was bein paid 2.14 an hour and they are still paying that now which is disgusting .
