Yep. The Official reason is for taking less space. But knowing what I've learned the last 10 years regarding World Economic Forum and the Blackrock oligarchs it's obviously to prevent private individuals to break free from the corporate greed
Oh my family does this! We have five fully grown pineapples in pots in our kitchen (yes it takes up a lot of space) and they each produce a pineapple every year (it takes about two years after planting to get the first one)
How do you maintain your pineapple? I read that it’s very difficult to get it to produce fruit so I’m sure you might be doing something special to get it to fruit a new pineapple
Hey I know people have educated themselves outside of social media (yeah right) but pineapples take at least 2yrs to produce fruit, sometimes longer & pineapples are tropical. This means that if you do not live in a tropical area you will need to keep it and grow it inside in a tropic like environment. (Just go research it outside or social media please.)
Those brown ones at the bottom you could’ve pulled off as well before soaking it for roots. yeah it takes a couple of years to grow a baby from it. I had like six in pots around my yard. Lol
i planted a pineapple just like you and it took 3 years to grow big enough to make a new pineapple and planting it with that method makes small but sweet pineapples
Yep you definitely can... I've done it many times. You can also cut the top off and put it directly into soil and keep the soil moist and you can skip growing it in water 1st ;)
I also did this but just used a different method. I cut the top off along with about an inch of fruit. Let the fruit part dry completely then peel it and the bottom layer of leaves away to expose the pineapple stem. Stick the stem in some soil and keep it moist. I have 9 young plants that i started like this.
It takes at least a year, sometimes a lot longer, lol. It will depend on a lot of different factors, but they are definitely neat plants even when they aren’t fruiting. And every time you cut the pineapple fruit off, the mother plant will produce pups (baby plants) and start the cycle all over again!
On average it takes about 1-2 years to get a pineapple, same with avocados, however with avocados, you'd need to graft the branch onto another avocado tree for the type you want to grow
My pineapple plant is currently on its fourth year and still refuses to pop out a new pineapple but it's big and strong and healthy so... Carry on pineapple 😉.
Mine took 2 years before it grew a new pineapple. Once the new pineapple matures you will get shoots on the plant that can be removed and planted to get more plants. Good luck!!
Since that is from the top of a pineapple it will take 2 years to fruit whereas growing a pineapple shoot takes a year but is smaller on the first harvest.
I've got a pineapple top growing in one of my big pots! I planted it about a year ago. It's got super long dark new leaves, but I think it's going to take longer than 2 years before it grows a pineapple.
I started growing honey dew melon and cantaloupe cavity a month ago and I plated then two day ago there do so well and them have gotten big but not to big for there pot.
If you're talking about fungus gnats, then adding a nice layer of sand on top of the soil in the plants' pots might help you. I once had a fungus gnat infestation, but adding the sand really helped me get rid of them. Hope this helps!
When you said “Hey I’m here for a journey” I just imagined you dying unexpectedly before you could see the other pineapple… and then I went back in reality… I was like damn. My brain is dark. Anyways I’m sure you’ll live a long and luscious life!!!!! :)))) ❤️
how long does it take for it to grow roots? someone please answer this. i threw mine in the trash cause it never grew roots and the water it was in just smelled like shit.
