Talks about Metal Gear so much he is now trying to turn Fallout into Metal Gear SMH. The twitter I forget to use: / nerbit_13098 2nd Channel: / @ti-bren7709 ko-fi.com/nerbit #Fallout #Challenge #Gaming Music:www.purple-planet.com/
For the Agent 47 run, you should use any and all contextual kills you can. Things like Caesar's surgery, the barrels at Cottonwood Cove, and injured people on cots
Check the stats. Maria with 100 guns ((which Benny doesn’t even have)) vs level one endurance 1 courier, Two critical hit headshots is just not enough. He says it himself “serves me for using a nine mil”
Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as a cowboy? For this run you would have to wear only clothing, use cowboy revolvers, repeaters, knives, and dynamite. Since the wild west was so dangerous and deadly you would have to have your endurance set to one and play on the hardest difficulty!
It's the ultimate metal gear reference, making the metal gear reference video, longer than THE metal gear video. Turns out there's a 4 hour long video on metal gear... The more you know.
Yeah it kinda opened the flood gates, despite how much of a time investment that video was (to make and to watch) it's still the most fun I have ever had making something :)
@@Nerbit13098 If I am ever in doubt on what to watch I will watch that video it was really well made and entertaining through. You killed it on that video m8.
It's awful, since I saw that video I've tried to understand the full plot of the Metal Gear series and now I can't discuss them without sounding like a full conspiracy theorist
Almost didn’t see this video. Also, the weathered 10mm is one of the few, if not only, unique weapon that can take it’s common variant’s mods, and the base 10mm has a silencer.
Yeah I was never able to find the 10mm silencer funny enough, didn't bring it up as I felt like it would be repetitive what with me talking about how I was already looking for the scope for the hunting rifle and the suppressor for the anti-material rifle
Jabo, VNG Gaming also did something like this plus the dlc's if you want to see what he did. It was a little different with him not being detected at all for any of his videos
FYI if you ever do another Snake run: You can probably get his look more-or-less down with Jessup's bandana, and either Stealth Suit, the Dead Money assassin armor, the recon armor, or Christine's black recon armor.
There's a mod for Fallout 4 that replaces the Marine wetsuit with Snake's outfit in MGS4. Maybe someone could figure out a way to make a version of that mod but for New Vegas?
Something to be aware of for the eventual 47 run - it is possible to sneak into the Brotherhood bunker. You *just* need to complete the For Auld Land Syne quest and get Power Armor training from the Remnants, then find one of the fallen patrols and don their Power Armor as a disguise. You'll get unique dialog upon interacting with the intercom.
The Time Bomb is actually a hilariously good "stealth" weapon for taking out groups of initially neutral NPC's. As long as you remain hidden when it goes off after its long 30s fuse it counts as an undetected sneak attack. C4 works even better as you can detonate it at will from a hidden position, but has less explosive oomph.
@qinaxin7107 the ratslayer is a really good varmit rifle that is suppressed, has a scope, and extended mag already on it and it's found in the brochure flower cave and it's really good.
Suggestion for a character/historical figure run: “Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as general Douglas MacArthur?” A bit of context: MacArthur was a US general who was famously fired during the Korean War after he revealed that his plan to win the war was to launch a massive tactical nuke attack at the border between the Korean Peninsula and China. His idea was to turn the area into a wasteland to prevent troops and aid to make it to the peninsula. Basically this would be a Fat Man focus run. That’s why I suggested New Vegas BTW, as the Gun Runners' Arsenal DLC let’s you buy different types of mini nukes. Hopefully this helps to make the challenge more than a pacifist run with extra steps, plus the variety of explosions might help to make the experience less repetitive, and maybe even tactical as each type of mini nuke have different aspects. Also because this is a character run, you should know that despite his willingness to use nukes MacArthur only carried a .32 semi automatic pocket pistol (apparently for him the solution for most problems was either an scalpel or a chainsaw). The only .32 pistol in New Vegas is the Police Pistol from the Dead Money DLC, the problem is that’s a revolver not a semi automatic pistol, however any other relatively small numbers I still should do the trick. Whatever the case, the small pistol should be useful at the beginning of the run and for killing anything that might have survived a mini nuke. As for the look? The best I can think of is to somehow get all of general Oliver’s clothes (boots and cap included) and complement it with some massive sunglasses and a smoking pipe, though for that last one anything relatively close to it should do the trick.
I talk about your run near the end of the video lol. You'll get your proper shout out once I get round to it, it sounds like a super fun idea and I want to give it the time and effort it deserves :)
@@devinmccanna645 Silent Assassin, Suit Only Complete ‘Fallout New Vegas’. Only eliminate targets. No bodies found. Do not get spotted. If you are detected by a camera, destroy the evidence. Do it all in your suit.
For the Agent 47 Run, if it ever happens, I would like to suggest another little rule Basically, if there is a unique interaction to kill someone, you have to do your best to do it So like killing Caesar in surgery Spiking Pacer's Jet Sabotaging the Ghoul Rocket Any character who can die I'm such a way, has to be killed.
That's impossible since you have to confront Alduin to finish the story. Miraak talks a big game but when the chips were down he didn't fuck with the world eater.
Honestly if at the end you'd gone " this was New Vegas as Agent 47 and I've been tricking you all along" I would have lost my mind. A great video as always Nerbit. Oh and a side note, Lemon from the Backlogs heard about your shout out last video. He says hi
What bugs me about the entire brotherhood being alerted every time one dies is that they didn't use to. Don't know if it was intentional but it got patched in at some point. I know cuz I use to wipe them out, leave the bunker intact so that when they respawned I had a good farm for stuff to sell for caps.
I've always just kind of pretended that the Brotherhood of Steel seems like the kind of group that would be smart enough to do what I have particularly cunning guards do when I run Cyberpunk or Shadowrun tabletops- Have a tacnet that, in addition to real time communications, tracks every members vital signs through a monitoring system and raises the alarm if someone's heart suddenly stops beating.
These "Can you beat" challenges get beat onto the ground by multiple channels. Cheers to you for keeping it fresh and coming up with challenges that I always want to try on my own.
If I'm not mistaken, you can find two hunting rifles in Novac, one in Cliff's bungalow, and one in Ranger Andy's. There's also another one with some ammo outside of Boulder City at the train stop, near a skeleton trapped under a boxcar. It really feels like the devs wanted you to have a hunting rifle and plenty of ammo for it at that point in the game, especially considering all the boxes of ammo in Helios One.
its about 150, some of those have already been done mind you, but I add new ones to it every few days if something pops into my head or I see a good suggestion in the comments
Challenge idea Can you beat fallout 4 as a sailor/harbor man. The idea being effectively you only use the broadsider and harpoon launcher as your weapons with your only armor being things like the harborman clothes, fishing hat, sea captains hat, ect. Sub challenge ideas being you try to get the armor from the mariner (I think it’s called scourge of the sea) for finishing all her side quests and complete the captains dance so you can get the captains hat.
An Agent 47 run sounds really fun to try out. Although, I guess choosing the exact ruleset would be a bit tricky. It probably makes the most sense to allow for 47's full arsenal of skills. Disguises and deception, 45.pistol, sniping, staging accidents (I mean, Yes Man throwing General Oliver off the dam fits right in). The "Silent Assassin" ruleset could also be adapted into such a run (bar the hiding the bodies part). I'm sure you will figure out a satisfying ruleset. Looking forward to seeing whatever ideas you have in store!
Finally! I love the idea of no one knowing who the courier is because no one's ever seen them! The entire wasteland just gets upheaved by someone who doesn't exist
I just did a Hardcore Legion playthrough in one "sitting" (it crashed multiple times) while achievement grinding. I have you and Jarbo to thank for inspiring me to take upon this utter madness i have descended into. 😂😂😂😢
i always love these challenges and i can say that you are among a small handful of people who i actually look forward to seeing post and eagerly watching it. the shenanigans are always loved. keep up the great work man.
I've picked up this game today after many years thanks to your video: I always thought I didn't have many other things to try in NV but I just started a sneaky based character and I think I'm gonna enjoy it. Closed the game after a 3 hour session just to find this. Nice
The Ratslayer was my main weapon my first run. Since it has a ridiculous 5X critical chance, with the right perks and equipment you can get 100% crits even without stealth.
Awesome Video, the Metal Gear music in the background was a nice touch, recently came across you content a few weeks ago and I am hooked, keep up the awesome work, PS, love the Metal Gear content one of my fav game series
With the Kahn asking if there was anyone there I had the same type of experience in Oblivion where I stepped into the light and got seen by an enemy so I stepped one step back and somehow lost the aggro and as always your video makes my Saturdays always enjoyable
Didn't think I'd see a video like this. I remember recommending this to you after seeing VGN Gaming do this (plus did the dlcs). His videos were really good
Do you like Nerbit? His early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Can You Beat New Vegas while being chased by Private Kowalski came out in '21, I think he really came into his own, creatively and imaginatively The whole video has a clear, concise direction, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the humor a big boost. He's been compared to Mitten Squad, but I think Nerbit has a far less bitter, cynical sense of humor. Later in '21, Nerbit released this, Fallout as Abraham Lincoln, his most accomplished idea. I think his undisputed masterpiece is "Can You Beat Fallout 4 as Abraham Lincoln", a video so enjoyable, most people probably don't listen to his script. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of imitation, and the importance of beating slavers into submission, it's also a personal statement about Nerbit himself.
The ghost of the Mojave. Nobody’s seen it, but there have been glimpses. A sound here or there. Nothing provable. Took over the Mojave without anyone noticing
Ah such fun memories, used the silenced 22 pistol for clearing out the Bison Steve and it was certainly fun doing it. That gun is quite strong as you sneak effectively enough to get that bonus from it.
The Powder Gangers actually don't attack you on sight if you have the Shunned reputation, which you obtained by not attacking any of them in Goodsprings. Still, I'm guessing you would have attacked them anyway for the XP, but just a handy thing to know
Love these videos, great work Nerbit! Here's a challange for you: Can you beat Fallout 4 as Naked Snake/Big Boss Rules: 1. Side with railroad 2. Wear some form of a sneaking Suit (mods are ok) 3. Have max strength and max ability by the end of the game 4. Try and stay in character as Big Boss as best you can Optional: rebuild the Minutemen as a new Diamond Dogs/ MSF and raid Gunners Plaza Lore cause lore is fun The events of MGS4 never happen, and Big Boss is trapped asleep by the Patriots for centuries, who fail to stop nuclear war. Finally waking up in a Patriot Vault, Big Boss learns that an addional clone was made, this time of Major Zero. Seeking to end the patriots once and for all, Big Boss enters the wasteland to deal with Sons of the Patriots (Institute)
Great viedo as always man! But if you do go for a stealth sniper build, go for the Ratslayer-- it's an upgraded version of the vermin rifle and has a 5 X mulitpler for crits.
I saw a video where VNG gaming apparently managed a 'no detection' run, where if he was detected by anyone, even random people and animals, he had to reload. As you can talk to yes man and buy stuff from the gun runners while sneaking, as you can't pickpocket robots, and use a stealthboy to avoid being detected while doing so. Not to mention that just because many AI are scripted to talk to you, doesn't mean they necessarily will detect you, like the casino greeters for example.
Can you beat Fallout 4 with only the mysterious stranger killing enemies and the water gun from Nuka World to trigger him (He only has a chance to spawn at your last shot in VATS so the water gun is a compromise here.) Attempt 5 at suggesting this
My runs are usually stealth based and I love clearing out every Legion location before getting to the strip and still being neutral... But Ceasar still knows somehow.
The varmint rifle is my favorite gun in NV. In survival mode, it's easier to just get the Ratslayer as soon as possible. Yes I play stealth archer in Skyrim.
I was honestly surprised that you didn't go pick up a Sniper Rifle and grab the suppressor for that. Usually can find one either at the Gun Runners or the Weapons Trader at the 188. Great video though! I honestly slept on the Varmit Rifle as well until NY last playthrough of NV.
Good video as always, next time can you do an easy but funny challenge? Like idk 100 stat man? You can add some rules like completing all sidequests (or the majority) or something like that
the bug with the clothes at around 11 minutes is actually insanely infuriating, it happens with some leather armor that has a bandana on your neack (forgot the name, too lazy to look it up) while you're holding the .357 revolver... you can tell what run I was attempting, and it was a huge bummer, like the bottom third of my screen was covered by the bandana
Solid Nerbit, hunting for some revenge on the Mojave. Chalenge idea, can you finish TES V - Skyrim as a Witcher? rules(kinda optional): -may have an iron or steel weapon to kill humans, "nonhumans"( elfs, orcs, argonians and khajiit) and animals and a silver sword to kill monsters, undeads and magical beings -may only use flames, ward and "charm" spells (shouts are ok, consider them a mutation) -must make your own potions -must do at least 1 sidequest to kill a specific monster/undead/magical being ps:i think its fair to have a crossbow for whatever reason
For the Agent 47 video, there should be an extra objective that if a character can die as a result of a scripted event or speech check, you MUST kill them that way. Things like Caesar dying on the operating table, luring Jeanie May to the front of the Dinosaur, and assassinating Kimball with one of the skill check methods rather than combat.
For the record, you picked the right title. As someone who isn't a huge fallout player and has only been playing it seriously very recently, it only took me a few seconds to realize what you were talking about. I'm sure more frequent players would know instantly. Also, it's the term used in the actual game. So it makes sense.
Nerbit I've been watching your channel for a while now and love all of your videos. Thought of an idea for a run. Just like your Fallout 3 video, can you beat Skyrim with only gifts? Thought it would be interesting
Here’s a good question: Can you beat Fallout 4 as Dr Eggman? This run will be similar to the Sonic but either join the Institute or the BOS, depending which really fits. Laser and plasma weapons and a power fist (since he does use a mech to fight hand to hand) and the robot workbench is needed to make Badnicks
I have an idea for a video Can you beat fallout new vegas as the terminator -You can use only the sawn of shotgun -You can only wear a leather jacket (if you can't find one use the light leather armor)and sunglasses _You have to kill every leader in the game and if you see one you have to open fire immediately -Go for the yes man ending - You have to kill every human gun shop owner in the game after your done buying -You have to buy every implant in the game (even dlc ones) -You have to have every synthetic organ from old world blues dls -
Three video ideas: CYB F4 as SSnake, shadowed leather armor and black bandana only for armor and deliverer suppressed as your only weapon. No vats. CYB F3,NV,F4 as a DND Barbarian. Disable sneaking, grognak armor, sledge, 10 str 1 intelligence. CYB F3 as a drone cannon. Metal armor and helmet, and only the drone cannon (grenade launcher version) as your weapon. I think there's a drill version, but I think the GL would be harder since you can melee every enemy. I think vats works semi normally. But if I'm not mistaken there's only like 800 rounds in the whole game for it and it can only be repaired by merchants.
I'm a very late adopter when it comes to video games, so I'm a big fan of Fallout 4 and Skyrim 5 but have yet to play Fallout NV. I wasn't going to play it at all but after watching a few of these goofy walkthroughs on your channel and @joov channel, I think I have to play it now.
On the way to Novac near the Legion camp with the captured Powder Gangers there's a cave with the Ratslayer inside. It's the unique Varmint rifle with evrything installed and better in all stats.
Challenge idea: Can you beat F4 as among us? Premise: You must obtain all Synth Components in NPCS inventory as you play through the game, eliminating all of those you deem "sus".
This is basically what I did in Fallout 3 once as soon as I got the Chinese Stealth Suit. Thankfully, I did use Fast Traveling to get from various places I had been to because this was way before I stopped using that feature in Bethesda games.
Since you’ve gone deeper into the Metal Gear themes I’ve got some concepts that could work out for runs: “Can you beat Fallout 4 as Fortune” in which you use the Tesla Rifle from Automatron. “Can you beat Fallout 4 as Raiden” using the Marine Wetsuit and eventually the Assaultron Blade. “Can you beat Fallout 4 as The End” in which you play as a likely highly inefficient Endurance Sniper with the Solar Powered perk Lastly, “Can you beat Fallout 4 as The Fury” using a Flamer and maybe a Hazmat suit or the CC spacesuit. Perhaps not the hardest runs, but they could make for decent nods to the Metal Gear series.
