the problem with that is that you have to actually be moving to do a roll or somersault, if you press the button while standing still you just crouch

Yeah that was my hang up with the somersaults. You can do it quickly so that you're not actually physically taking the first step, but it was still annoying. That crouching somersault was a bit better but not perfect

Well, there was a new speed running strat discovered which entirely skips the ladder, but I don't know if "T-posing into the sky" really sits right with the challenge.

Yooo the arrival of Static Jokes will be remembered in the annals of history!

The lead up to this game coming out, and then finally getting released, was insane but super enjoyable. I was among the countless that bought "Zone of the Enders" simply because it came with the demo of MGS2 up through the Olga boss fight...I'd play that shit over and over even though the dialogue was still in Japanese with English subtitles (almost added to it, in a bizarre way lol). And then yeah, when it finally came out, plowing ahead cos I couldn't wait to see what was gonna happen next--I think I was one of the few who didn't mind the big Snake/Raiden reveal; I kind of agreed with Kojima that he'd taken 'Snake the Super Soldier' as far as he could go at that moment and so we needed to see Snake from someone else's perspective to add a new dimension to it, also the eventual reveal of Raiden's true background was pretty crazy.

I found it ha ha. I imagine it was already known, but it didn't really have a specific practical use until this challenge idea 😁

It's more of an exploit than a glitch. Ammo spawning in a specific point of the arena once you're below 20 rockets and not looking at that point is an intended mechanic, but basically means you get infinite rockets if you stand on that spot in first person since you can meet all the criteria for it to spawn while also being directly on top of it.

I've been looking into it. The delay is the fact that there are big differences between the PS2 and PS3 versions when it comes to glitches.

Thanks! I would have wore the armor for the rays, but the strat we used made it unnecessary in the end. I did use the armor for several attempts against Solidus to last longer when learning his patterns.

I never even got passed the tutorial on 5, so I don't even know how possible it is ha ha
