I know Curling was invented in Scotland during the 16th century but every time I see it I can't help but think of it as a sport some janitors came up with in a bowling alley.

The objective of this game is to get the rounded stone to slide and curl into the bull's eye. The thrower will do her best to push it to whichever angle she deems fit (and naturally, the stone will start to curl as it moves along), the other two girls will try to 'guide' the sliding stone into the bull's eye by brushing the ice sheet. Brushing the ice sheet will make it 'smoother' for the stone to travel faster and more in a straight line. It takes teamwork for the 3 girls to try their best to get the stone into the bull's eye.

People saying they're overreacting when they've won an olympic gold medal in a sport they've been practicing a large chunk of their lives... Obviously not athletes of any kind.

This was an absolute surprise, considering curling is one of Canada's favorite sport and that it was at the vancouver olympics

I started watching curling that Olympics because one of my best friends girlfriend was really into it, it began as snide remarks which quickly grew into intense interest. we even cancelled bar-nights to watch the Swedish Women troupe kick ass. I came home from a night out just in time to witness the Swedish Women's troupe take home the gold. What this "highlight" doesn't show is the Canadian squad basically had the game won by extension but they fumbled their final stone. Curling is one of the most cerebral sports I've ever watched.

i remember watching this vancouver 2010 curling on tv as a little kid i dont even know the rules, but after take time watching i understand and enjoy it now i just back starting watching this again after years not seeing this sport *and i live in tropic country😂

I don't know why, but this is the kind of sport where I could imagine the two teams going out for a drink after the game, regardless of who won... And sports should be like that, a friendly contest, not a merciless industry with so many shady business (like doping, for example). Maybe I'm wrong and curling is no different, but I like to think that the cool attitude on ice reflects respect and friendliness towards the opponent
