It would be helpful for you to give concrete examples of actual aggression versus play growling or puppy biting.

When I brought my cane corso mix, to puppy classes, at the end of each session, they let the puppies play, except for my dog(Jax). They took him being very vocal, as aggressive. I told them, he’s not. Now as a young 21/2, he’s very quiet, very socialized, and is blowing the minds of the training club, of how well behaved he is.

Mines not invited to the party either. We play with a few big pals He’s a year but plays fast and often it’s the littlens that cause problems

Heck yes. This goes for all breeds. I really wanted X's sister, she's a large, black and tan girl that is lovely. The breeder said absolutely not. That dog is extremely dominant, strong willed and willful. They picked X for us. We were disappointed at first but as we've grown with X, I can see how much trouble it would have been for us as first time Tibetan Mastiff owners. X's sister is a beautiful dog, but a next level dog. Not all puppies in a litter are equal. You need to listen to your breeder who has years of experience with the breed and take your ego out of it. Anyway, this is great and super information. Glad people are listening.

excellent.. Been working with our new pup as we have two frenchies and its escalated not aggressive but could hurt the frenchies in play... our Cane corso is smart and listens.. but it takes constant observation and correction..

Hello I just got a 4 month old cane corso and he is having a lot of fear based aggression towards other people. We believe he was abused, it even took him a little bit to bond and trust me, but he has snapped at my husband and growls at everyone that comes near him. I have worked with dogs a long time but he is my first cane corso. I know it’s fear aggression because he will also pee himself. Just would like some suggestions. Thank you

My boy was an import. Your correct about setting training back. No aggression just working on channeling drive appropriately he’ll sit on a line and not chase squirrels but I wouldn’t trust him yet completely. Got a tendency to want to run and play like a rocket. I let him for play with pals we know but walk him on otherwise. Have to sit him sometimes to keep order. Bright bugger if you walk towards woods he’s up for it if home he does eyores. I found a sharp correction stopped him trying it on nipping on me and lead if he didn’t want to walk home. We socialise for 4 hours sessions daily no issue he’s bombproof in public/work

I just picked up my little 11.5 week old formentino cane corso named Greyson. He is super attached to me already but we went to the dog park for the first time and he wasn't not a fan. No one else could pet him right away, and he definitely wasn't having any dogs trying to play. There was a little lady who didn't give up and by the time we were ready to leave. He was sleeping on her lap. He gets along with our pomeranian at home. Hoping we can just work on it and he'll break this habit. Because it does seem to be out of fear.

Hi we have a 11 week old male CC got him when he was 8 weeks over all he’s pretty good like to nip at hands and fingers when playing but no growling or barking and when I say it’s over we’re done he just walks away. But the problem we just started having is when we pick him up to go downstairs or upstairs because we live in a 2nd floor condo and don’t want him climbing the stairs yet, he will growl and try to bite when we pick him up are we picking him up wrong or is it fear aggression? He didn’t do it from day one just started like a week ago? Thanks appreciate your advice

Just watched your video on aggression on cane corso ours at 15weeks old can get very giddy and aggressively over play jumping and running around and showing dominance yet 85% of the time he is well mannered obeying every command goes on walks potties outside

Iv got a 4 month old i took to the vet for his shots he snapped at the vet while on the table really close to her face i was shocked i think he was nervous he didn't like her mask i hope

I have a 5 month old puppy cane corso. She is rough playing with my pitbull but my Pitbull is rough playing. It gets aggressive at times. The male pitbull listen to commands. But puppy cane corso female doesn't listen. I need to fix this and get control.

Please Help! So , I have this friend( Nicole) that has a Cane Corso mix that's 10 months old(Diamond) and she does not have any control over her, she also has another dog(Mia) that Diamond has begun to fight with. It started out playful, not aggressive, but since Diamond has gotten her first menstrual cycle it's gotten very aggressive she attacks the Mia and it's become vicious. Nicole's had to break off Diamonds grip on Mia's neck before it broke skin and I'm worried about Mia and Nicole. Not to mention what could happen to Diamond if it gets worse. I don't know what to do, she hasn't gotten any training, so at this point Diamond runs the show and does whatever she wants. What can be done to gain control over this 10 months old Corso mix puppy, if anything? Hunting for help...

Hey thanks for all the good videos on the Cane Corso, I’m not a new dog owner, I’ve owned 3 pitties and 1 Australian shepherd over the past 20 years. Now I got a 4 month cane Corso puppy , even tho I’m experienced with dogs I got no experience with a Corso and mine started growling at me when I try to move him in he’s bed and it’s not playful play, it’s showing teeth and trying to nip me , any good advice in how to stop that so when he’s older it’s not a problem ?

Our Cane is the same and growls when he is being moved when sleeping or when we try to help him up onto the couch.

Hi Will, we have a 10 week Cane Corso and we have signed up and following your perfect puppy training course. One thing we have noticed is that she seems quite aggressive with other dogs, especially bitches. She displays the correct play behaviours, there’s a definite change in her attitude’ depending on the energy of the other dog. She’s very vocal and mouthy, doesn’t show submissive postures whether that’s a big, small young or old dog. We have owned her for just over two weeks and have introduced her to many dogs, people, vehicles etc as per the course guidance. Her ‘aggression’ does escalate until we either intervene (other dog owners getting concerned) or the other dog snaps back! Any tips?? Thanks

Hi Peter, keep up with the socialization as much as possible, see if you can get her playing with some bigger / older dogs. A lot of the time the younger pup just needs to learn from older dogs what's acceptable play behavior. Even better if it's people you know / are familiar with who will be a bit more relaxed / happy to let them sort it out themselves

My Maximus at 11 weeks. Growls and lightly bites when I try to stop him from going under the bed, into bushes, try to lead him by the collar and sometimes get pick him up. This is aggression right?

Hi. I have a cane corso female,she is 3 months old and sometimes she bittes me from my hands or legs or clothes and she's not letting go,sometimes she growls when I try to make her stop. She's not doing the same thing with the food,she doesn't try to bite me if I take her food. Should I consider that she just plays "hard" or it's a sign of agression?

15 week pup. Been absolutely amazing in all aspects but...sometimes when I go to help her onto the couch (she can misjudge her jump) she growls occasionally no teeth or snarling but just a low growl? First time I thought I lifted her wrong but it's happened a few times now.

Mine when she is in bed with me and I hug her she growls at first I thought she was just being aggressive but I was wrong some times the growl is just to let you know they don’t feel comfortable or they don’t like the way you are picking them up

I have a 10 week cane corso puppy and I havent seen any aggression until we try to pick him up. He even tries to bite us. We pick him up properly and have tried to power roll him everytime he does this with no luck. Any suggestions? I've never had this issue and he doesn't resource guard or anything. He isn't hurt and we've had him checked out twice by a vet. Would love some help and not finding any help online. Thank you!

Yes, we have a nine week old cane corso, she is not out first cane corso, however, when my daughters friend went to pick her up she tried to bite her. I was very concerned when I seen this, which brought me to this video. Our puppy was not playing also, so I know it was aggression, but I thought maybe when they picked her up it hurt her, but she was fine. Good luck with your puppy. 😊

I have a bullmastiff she sounds like she is going to eat you alive, but never leaves a make. She even plays with a small mutt in the same manner.

I got today a 4 months old cane corso, the dog is mostly calm but when i try to tell him that he is not doing something good(is not allowed inside) he growls at me, i tried calling her with treats and toys but won't pay attention and when i tried to push her she went for a bite, do you have any tips?

We have a 5 month old Cane Corso. He has been aggressive from the time we have gotten him when he eats. Or when we try to get him to stop a behavior that is bad. Should we get a trainer if so any suggestions

I’m not a trainer or anything but what I am doing with my puppy is making him sit for for food, or look at me before placing food, I would suggest you put the food down on the floor and do not let him near it until laid down/calm showing you are in control of when he eats

I’m just a dog enthusiast. I have a 4lbs chihuahua. 😁😁. But I do want larger breed dog in the future. I’m curious how Cane Corso’s are with other dogs. Of any size. Since they seem to be somewhat strong willed and attached to their family, I was just wondering. Thanks.

We got our first CC and we have a 9lbs Cavachon. The Cavachon does not really like the puppy CC lol but they do play together. However, the CC gets a bit excited so we do need to be always around while she understands the Cavachon is not her size lol.

Jason Corey sent me. We are in Chicago so not local, but we trust him so we are reaching out to you. We rescued a Corso in October of last year. He was 2.5 at the time so far beyond the puppy/training stage. Whoever had him during that critical time did not train him properly. We have hired two different "private" trainers that claimed to experts in the breed, and our Bodhi proved them wrong. Quickly. There is more to it, but I give everything I can to save him. My six month old cane female attacked a dog today. The dog came at me and jumped on me almost knocking me down. She jumped him and then he turned on her. No blood and she stopped when I told her too. However the owner of the giant go,den doodle could not stop her dog. I had too get him to stop. Now my puppy is riled up about large dogs. I’m not sure how to deal with this. I had an extremely dog aggressive Pit Bull for 10 years and it was not fun. I didn’t get another pittie because I didn’t want to manage that again. I do not want to screw up this dog.
