Prepare to be amazed... ...Peugeot has made the best crossover money can buy. We know, right. Mark's review explains all. Please like, share and subscribe.
The old 3008 WAS and IS a good car. It was actually really practical and had good engines. It also drove well. And while the styling divided opinions, people still look when it goes by and I happen to like the look of it. The new one is a masterpiece though. Best in class.
Totally agree - I have an end of 2016 allure in white and I have had so many comments about it and folks asking me what it is. Great cockpit and very smooth to drive.
Decent car, I've got the allure hybrid but the clutch is a bit crap and lags when it changes gear (only Auto on hybrid) although I love the extra power and more responsive pedal when 'sport' button is pressed.
Mark great review of Peugeot 3008 an honest northern lad caught flat footed by the real QUALITY of this vehicle , You covered all points and I put it into my list of vehicles to replace our Audi a3 TDI Dec 2019 Thanks again and well done.
I owned a 3008 GT-line diesel for a while now, and I´ts a great car! I´m still glad I chose this car over its German rivals. Of course, there are some features that makes you scratch your head from time to time, being a frenchy, here are some of them: Volume control lags for about 2 seconds every time, back doors closes weirdly (passengers often think they're "half closed" when there not?) Sunroof opens every other time via the remote function, frustrating during hot summer days :) otherwise this car is just amazing... I would recommend it to a friend
Good review, thank you. I have an Allure 1.2 auto and you are right, it is a really good engine. I've covered about 1200 miles on all types of roads and still have difficulty believing it's a 1.2L, 3 cylinder engine. It is so quiet as well. The auto headlights and auto wipers work better than those on my BMW.
Mark the guy that is Frank in his review of this Peugeot which has brought about a revolution going from absolute crap to highly desirable. You dived in and covered all aspects of this wonderful SUV thanks Mark.
After your comments and lots of haggling. We are taking delivery of a Peugeot 3008 gt line 1.5 diesel automatic on 28/07/19. Thanks for your help in making a difficult decision.
Lovely looking car, shed loads of tech but had one blow up on me, the mrs and the kids on the fast lane of the m25 at lets say 70. Car was only on 65,000 on a 17 plate and needed whole new engine. Very scary especially for the kids, with the panic in the air. So lovely car but 100% now deterred me from french cars ever again. Now got a kuga instead.
Interesting review. Had mine for a few months now and discovered that the traction control is of no use in the snow and the tyres fitted are also not suited to snow, and there's been a lot of that.
Giving you a thumbs up even before watching it. The car is superb - interesting and different and this guy is also interesting and different + amusing thrown in! Winning combination! :-D
They are struggling to keep up with the orders with more than 1200 units coming out of the factory everyday. Peugeot was in a bit of mess before this 3008 came out, just like the 205 back in its day this car will probably be seen as the cash-cow which has saved the company from going under
Great review, you've gained yourself a subscriber. Can the people who keep saying this car needs to be electric please go to the nearest mirror, look yourself n the eye, & slap yourself till unconscious. The automotive industry does not work on short term plans, these cars are years in the making, it's at least 5 years for a completely new platform to come to market. France & the UK decided at the drop of hat to change the rules, it'll be years before we see fully developed EVs replace mainstream petrol/diesel cars. Cars are not mobile phones people 🙄.
Good honest review, but with other reviews I've heard, no one seems to want to operate the heating or other touchscreen controls whilst on the move. This is my one very big concern about the car. I suppose I will just have to test drive it myself to find out.
Owning the old 5008 from 2012 and planning to buy the new one with the biggest diesel engine. Beefy ! German equivalents ? A Touran ? Seriously guys, why not a Combi ? lol !
It's the very definition of a crossover. All versions are front-wheel drive apart from the diesel-electric hybrid one, which Peugeot calls 'Limited Edition'. That's a technical marketing term for "nobody will buy this".
It would be foolish of Peugeot to come out with a car that is not electric at this point. The SUV is nice. But it really should have had dual motor electric drive with a 50kwh battery with high-speed charging and they would fly off the lots literally. Too bad.
Hybrid outin 2018, but these have sold in there thousands since their release and the factories are having trouble keeping up the demand, no real need to push the hybrid yet if you are selling economical petrol and diesel models.
What's good about diesel? More NOx to kill us off. Looks the same as the rest, boring. Looked cramped for interior space. I wonder how many will be sold in the USA? That would be the test, but they don't actually sell any French made vehicle in the USA. I wonder why?
Coal tar oil instead of fosill fuel. My dti has gone 4 times around the clock is 23 years old and passes all test and Mots and runs a dream. No fumes and you are so wrong it is laughable
Nicky Nike Says the American who's country produces the 8.4 litre Viper, who made the Hummer H2, a car that would do 9 mpg. Do me a favour, & go watch a video based in your own dumb nation, it's all you deserve.
What is good about diesel? A diesel engine is more efficient, causes less CO2, has lots more torque and easily makes higher milage than a petrol engine. Btw the Nox problem is solved. Concluseion: a diesel engine is greener than a petrol engine. That will be the next hysteria.
