I am pretty happy with my new 3008 GT. The interior is great, the infotainment is decent, not as polishes as in my 5 BMW but this is also a different price class. Overall so far quite happy with it, the only thing I am missing is the all-wheel drive but lets see in winter how the traction control will perform (in Switzerland).

I just did some research and trying to confirm what you said about Peagot being the biggest car maker in europe.. What does that mean exactly? I have looked up statistics and they are definently not selling the most cars in europe... So then whats that mean ? They are making cars more then selling? At the end of the day it comes down to selling the most. If people are buying their cars more then any other car manufacturer then you would be confident in their quality and price

We do get the stop/start. I drove a GT at North Shore Peugeot over the weekend. It had start/stop on the diesel.

I was hoping we won't as well. I can turn it of but not permanently. Sometime you don't notice it and other times you do. Apart from that I just love my 3008.

No manual?? I drove one of these in a manual. Is it just Australia not getting manuals? As I've seen lots of these reviews and you're the first one to say no manual option.

VW tops the EU ranking. Both in sales (due to the gradually less loyal largest EU markets Germany & UK) and in terms of managerial (mis-) behaviour. #2 is Renault. That brand is the fastest growing volume brand i/t top 5. Peugeot - the brand - ranks #5. PSA (Peugeot, Citroen, DS & Opel/Vauxhall combined) ranks #2.

PSA is one of the largest manufacturers on the planet, with the purchase of GM’s EU wing, Opel, Vauxhall and such has increased its market share as well!

PSA biggest car maker in Europe? Not really. VW remains bigger. Also in terms of sales. The only thing PSA had was a higher growth rate, compared to the other brands. VW tops sales, Peugeot is in 4th place. Peugeot almsot died in Australia. But thanks to new management in France and a new dealer network in Australia, they will do well. The 3008 is a lovely car, drives well. But facts are facts and VW group remains bigger.

I spoke with a 3008 owner and she told me that at over 110 km/h the hood of the car is wabblening and it is annoying. The lack of a piece that Peugeot, in his rush to honor too many orders, has failed to install. Oil sighting and poor brakes. I felt terrible when I found out. I'm waiting for Hybrid

My partner has the new CX 5 and I just got the 3008 GT Line. Mine definitely feels far more superior however I hope it can handle the Australian Summer

Really large on the outside, hardly any knee room for the back seat passengers, and the top of the steering wheel blocks half of the display.

oodlespring there is plenty of room in the back (it's nearly a class leader) and if you can't see the entire instrument cluster, you haven't adjusted the steering wheel and/or seat... it has won car of the year in Europe (the first SUV to get that award EVER)

oodlespring: Are you sure you are refering to the 3008? I have owned mine for 3 weeks and do not recognise your criticism. The drivers seat and steering wheel are fully adjustable and my steering wheel does not cover my instrument display. I have had four adults and a two year old in mine on a couple of occasions and they all had plenty of room. This is a compact SUV: it is the same length as the new Ford Fiesta, so you will never hold a party in the back.
