❤ I don't know why, but this whole diner scene is my favorite in the movie. The beautiful song, Mona & TC, the butter on the ceiling... everything worked so well together. Such a beautiful and simple time.
I was around that age too when this movie came out. My parents dragged me along because they could afford baby sitters. We lived in the projects and when these black movies came out the whole neighborhood would walk together to the movies. Attending the movies was a treat in itself because of the bantering going back and forth with members of the audience. It was good times but i do remember the despair of the those times.
Man oh man! These we're good times ! Every weekend hanging with my uncle a Nam vet! He and his friends would get together smoke out and I would pass the hat around for beer $. The dollar was strong! My other uncle had a band and later play when the sun went down! All went to war and came back!
I love that movie, one of my all time favs. It was hilarious. Mona was fine. TC had me rolling with his Fly character. I was 8 when this came out and Oleskool61 I agree they were! Miss those days...
TC telling off Mona at the end was a great scene, but the person who had the best part in the movie was Marlene/the Hooker, I always thought she was pretty, but she was so sad, lost and alone. I was 14 when this came out and those were some good times back in the day.
Mona had every right to want a better man economically. T. C. has nothing to offer. He will give her babies that she will have to support. What will she do when she is pregnant and can't work? What is T.C. gonna do for her? She will have a hard, stressed out life with a dude like T.C. Who says because a dude finds you appealing, you should just take him on? That is his problem. Most dudes who approach me, I have no interest.
Mona should try to get a better gig where she can meet a better class of men. She has to leave the neighborhood. I don't mess with dudes from the neighborhood. I put myself in situations to meet better class of men.
I liked the movie back in the day. I went to school with Ren Woods (Rene) in grade school. She was so smart and talented even back then. She used to tell the best stories for show and tell when she went to Boise elementary in Portland Oregon. She'll never know I was in love with her back then. I still love the sound track from the movie.
@@randyswanson3369bruh put yourself in her shoes. Every single day a person you don't like comes to your job & basically harasses you until you agree to date them. You telling me you would like that?!
That’s the way it was back in the day, some women didn’t want a man that was making what she was making. She couldn’t see past the fact that TC had a job, period. I like yet way he told her off at the end though. Nowadays women will work three jobs to take care of a good for nothing man with nothing but dreams but won’t work...
This is classic man meets women! She is cold to him because she really likes him corny and buck teeth and all she likes him. She just must make sure he isn’t just another player. And the fact that he has to chase her down makes him know he has a good one. Classic all single people should take a lesson from this.
😳 im a breast and thigh man myself TC ( Franklyn Ajaye ) funny fly words in movie ♠bruh 😁⚫ those same words may land you in jail front page center of me 2 movement 😀 now
Lol... 😂😂😂. Yeah very funny lines from TC. Unfortunately some women have taken their femininity to a ridiculous level and now have an excuse to over react and blame men for all that goes wrong. Yes, it's some sad witches out there seeking Revenge.. oh well God bless..
