Car window won't go up? How to fix your car window quickly for cheap/Free 

Girl!! You ARE platinum!! I was taking my dog for a drive and he got a little excited, leaned on the window to heavily, and sank it in. I looked up all of these videos that talked about taking it completely apart and about 20 other methods that would be way over my pay grade LOL. Not one of them even mention to open the door and try to roll the window up then let alone slamming it! I got ready to slam it like another girl on these comments and it just went up! I get that if it had been a more severe problem those other videos would’ve been needed, but this is the kind of stuff that is super helpful to mention before you go for a harder method! Way to keep it simple baby girl, get your grind on!! I appreciate you!

Exactly what I was looking for... Just needed a way to get my window back up.

After my dog put all of his weight on the switch, I couldn’t get the window back up. I scoured RU-vid and watch countless videos, spent so long trying different methods and even started taking the panel off the door. One more video search led me here. I went out, slammed my door and the window went up. 🤯 Thanks for keeping it simple😍

I got a couple of thin rubber shims from walmart( couple of bucks for ten) and wedged them on the inside of the door ,this made the glass stay up.

Thanks alot for your suggestion!! Pulling up the door worked after trying many methods from RU-vid. @Viewers : you can try more width scale like Lego pad/something for nice grip and parralley ask someone to press the window button up and you pull the scale strongly.

Once its up you put chewed gumm along the bottom and it stays up

If you have power windows and you've been assisting it up and down for a while and now it won't go back up try holding the switch and slamming your door at the same time and don't let go of switch

This won't work on a 2005 Toyota Sienna rear (passenger sliding) door. It's not even down all the way, but even grabbing the window and pulling up won't move it.

Now how to put the window back on its correct position??

Wait! How do you keep it up? Mine is held up currently with wooden clothes pins, jammed in against the frame, wire part removed. Temp fix only though.
