Hi Folks. Today Juliet and I discuss the Caravan Accessories We Found to be a Waste of Our Money. or we just don't use. If you have any please leave a comment below. Thanks again Phil.
Hi U2 must agree with a previous comment has to be the Cadac bought one because everybody had one but what a pain to clean and store . Now have an electric hob that is brilliant so light and easy to clean great vlog 👍😀
Totally agree Ken. Like you and many other the Cadac was a waste of money and should have been included. Our died years ago and yes a pain to store, breakdown & Clean. Thanks Phil👍🙂
Hi Phil and Juliet hope you're well, we had some of those screw in peg used them once, through them in the scrap bin at work, I kept the case they came in. Never use the cadac anymore to much hassle to clean, and last but not least is the satellite dish, with sat receiver in a large case tried using it once, could never get a signal. Best wishes stay safe Jon and Karen
Hi Jon & Karen. The pegs are well, crap if you ask me. Cadac's seem to everyones hated waste of money. Our went in the bin years ago. Never bothered with a satellite dish, I am glad. Take care both of you. P&J🙂👍
We both enjoyed the relaxed vlog Phil & Juliet 👍. We bought posh Lafuma chairs but they don’t fit under the benches, so we bought some cheap folding uncomfortable ones 😂. Good job we don’t sit out much ! All the best, Rob & Gail
HI Rob & Gail. We have a few posh chairs as well that were practically useless. They now sit on our deck at home, never used with the van. 😂 Thanks Phil & Juliet🙂👍
Hello Juliet and Phil, not waisted any money YET, but we do keep in are caravan a windbreak and a storage cabinet, never used them but keep towing them everywhere, I got them off my Boss for free, take care, 👍.
Hello. I got in trouble last Feb at the Show I bought a New Windbreak which has gone under the bed and never been used. Needless to say Juliet was & still not happy it cost £400.😳 Don't get caught out like me. thanks Phil & Juliet👍🙂
Hi Phil and Juliet hope your both well. Must agree with most of your items. The only ones we never bought was the mats and the screw pegs. We don't go on service pitch so we use our waste master and water barrel. Some great items for the bin. Reminds me of that programme. Room 101 things you your resign to the TV bin 😆 thanks for sharing 👍 Paul and Sarah
Hi Paul & Sarah. We are fine. Since making this video we have other items for Room 101, Juliet Coffee Machine for starters😂 Thanks & take care Phil & Juliet👍🙂
Hi Juliet and Phil......We were thinking of a pole with the lights that zip up and down, but luckily we quickly went off that idea. Instead we just got a pack of those nice solar lights that stick in the ground that work quite well! Cheers!
Hi John, Funnily enough Juliet bought some of the Solar Lights they have some fancy flame thing going on. Better than a lit flag pole. Thanks Phil & Juliet🙂👍
Hmm...guess it's that time of year money starts to burn a hole in your caravan pocket 😉 I've just spent £45 on some zipped up bags to store the waterhog, the waste container and the hook up cable. The value seems too good to be true. I'm hoping all three will be used but now have doubts. The £3 on a bag of spare fuses taped to the fuse box and the £13 on a B&Q fire extinguisher might be more practical 👍
Hi Martin. We all get caught up with great ideas but are they practical and will we use them. The biggest waste of money for most who have watched this is the cadac. Mine went in the bin years ago. The bags you have bought are practical they will prevent them damaging your Car or Caravan. Thanks Phil👍🙂
So funny Phil 😂 I bought pole with flashing lights used it once still in bag in shed. Mats very messy bought bag give way with screw pegs when sold air awning. Great video loved it😂.
You only have to look in my two sheds full of disused or redundant caravan and motorhome equipment. This is after selling some of the saleable items, just the junk is left 😂 Trev
Hi Trev n Sue. We have sold a lot of stuff. Juliet made me clear out the garage. Cadac went to the tip. Guessing you have some tip runs to do. Thanks for watching. Phil & Juliet. 🙂👍
Great video and something for newcomers to watch before spending their money. We've got a flag pole and use it on some sites, especially when at British Superbikes. Made my own LED lights and they've got a variable dimmer that goes right down to a very low light before going off. keep up the good work - Mike
Hi Mike. My Kids bought my flag pole I just never used it. I think Juliet will sell it on our Caravan Car boot clear out. Glad you use yours and have adapted it. I suppose they are great for finding your van at big shows after a few beers. Thanks Phil🙂👍
Hi Martin. Yep the Cadac is now probably a car, it went to recycling a long time ago. Awnings have all gone just our sun canopy. The money we waste keeping up with the Jones's. 😂 Thanks Phil🙂👍
i think if we were all honest about it, we have all wasted money of accessories that we dont use or need, we had items that we used to move from one caravan to store into the new one.... never to see the light of day until we changed caravans again. When we were changing over to Desmond, we had 7 full foldable boxes full of stuff and we whittle that down to 4 boxes.. the rest went either in the bin, given away or charity shops.. who knew you could carry so much rubbish and not use it... well we did after we emptied the last caravan.. ha ha.. I agree with the others, the cadac was a complete waste of money, so hard to clean when you are away on holiday.... we don't have a bbq anymore... take care both, much love xx
Hi Lindsay. Yes you are so right. We went through our van at the end of our season and removed everything and then carefully chose what went back in. Cadac went years ago they are rubbish in my opinion. We are both fine. Just had some winter sun and now ready to start the season. Love to you both. Phil & Juliet xxxx
I have a flagpole, I use it to support my radio antenna. Works a treat for that. We have been at this long enough to know what we are going to use. We still get caught though.
Hi David That is possibly the best use for a flagpole. My Kids bought mine with the Guards House division flag but never ever used it all. Yes we still do get caught out to. Thanks Phil & Juliet.🙂👍
Hi John. Can't beat Big Light On, It's like Blackpool Illuminations in Here!. Hope all is well with you. Just had a lovely week in Tenerife (it's over there). Thanks again Phil & Juliet🙂👍
I'm afraid we have the same thoughts about the the waste master and aqua roll. Not practical due to been in the way. The way forward was the colplaz full kit easy to store no weight and easy to use and clean. I personally like the screw peg got it off to a fine art. At first I was taking more grass up than we have at home. But as a back up I do have different pegs just in case but as a rule its the screw peg. Vango lights I definitely agree with you. I bought a set of 3 but only use one it's like lighting up Blackpool. Toilet fluid stop taking that to messy. Use the dissolve type you just drop in. Easy and no mess. Float for aqua roll. A bit fiddly. Opted for straight water connection to the caravan. Best bit of kit in my book. No leeks and when the caravan not attend to switch off. The absolute best bit of kit was right thing to do a fully automatic motor mover a god send. That was the first thing I did when I got our 2nd caravan switchbit from semi automatic. But the stuff we all don't use we all buy and either store it a away or get better kit. Or in some cases don't use. The list is endless. WiFi for me was a god send my own personal WiFi. No sharing on sites at a cost. Puk antena on roof happy days When you think about how much could be saved in terms of money it becomes scary. But all the items in my book got pros and cons and we all do it.
Hi Paul. The Colapz pipes are really great, I have quite a few of their products and still use them. I did find a Company that made really good screw in pegs but they did not want to work with me. Oh well their loss not mine. It does seem a little bit hypocritical I guess as we do review products but they are reviewed just to show whats out there. It's up to the Viewer if they choose to buy. We will be looking a budget WIFI system on the channel soon. I agree the wifi charges on sites are a rip off and generally are quite poor. We have stripped back our Caravan this year and given or sold some of the stuff we no longer use. We were shocked at how much we had in the garage or hiding in caravan cupboards. Thanks Phil👍🙂
Hi Phil. Our Cadac went to the big recycle centre in the sky years ago. Total waste of money and a pain to break down and clean. It should have been in this video too. Thanks Phil & Juliet👍🙂
Hello, Cadac is a very popular waste of money, which I totally agree with. Yep had cheap steps too. We have sold our old awning, poled sun canopy all filling space in the garage, just not used anymore. Cadac down the tip years ago. As Ian would say "Oh for the Love of Caravans" Thanks Phil🙂👍
@@martinkitchin6204 Hi Martin. It is a Caravan Jacking system from purpleline. The lightweight version is not much use but the heavy duty version is much better if fitted correctly. Hope this helps. Phil
