One more thing guys, if your bike randomly dies while riding you might have vapor lock. If that’s the case you need to do an emissions delete. It’s really easy, on the left side of the bike take off the fairing and youll see a big black plastic cylinder. Take that off along with the hoses.

That’s the issue I’m having I think. I can barely get it to start and when it does as soon as I gas it dies. Won’t even stay at idle unless on choke

I picked it up for dirt cheap because the guy bought it and ran less than 40 miles and stored it then couldn’t get it to run right anymore

@@Metal_Mechanic that’s probably ur issue. Take the gas cap off and turn it on if it runs fine it’s the emissions cylinder giving you issues

@@BrapGenius I did notice when I took the gas cap off today there was a big pressure release which I thought was odd so I will do that tomorrow. Battery died today trying to get it running.

@@Metal_Mechanic Stock they have a plastic one way valve on the vent hose, to prevent gas leaking out if the bike goes down. They seem not to know how to assemble these bikes. If that little valve is not upright it will not vent. That is a problem, and also check for pinched fuel lines under the body work.

@@BrapGenius so I was able to switch it out today. I’m a first time biker and this is my first bike so it was hard at first. Confusing due to some extra hoses Hanging around after I replace the carb But thanks to your video I was able to figure out which ones to leave out which were the ones your pointed out

got a fake vm22 off carbhub on amazon, did everything in the video and it wouldnt turn over, even after playing with the mix. Gonna return it and get a legit one or a nibbi and see how it works! great vid anyways bro keep it up!

Damn sorry to hear that. Did you open the gas cap when u started the bike? There could be an evap issue. I’ve had this carb for over 1000 miles with the bike so far

Got my Vader 3 days ago just slapped on the carb and 17t sprocket, huge difference. Thanks a ton man would've been confusing af without this video. So far so good didn't have to mess with jets at all. Hit 60 no problem. One question would I have any noticeable gains with an aftermarket exaust? Thanks.

Glad everything went well beother!! Tbh I did all of my mods before I ever started this bike but I will say I’m sure the exhaust makes a difference. I took out the baffle from my aftermarket one and even that made a difference

I just got my Vader the other day and have trouble getting it to start. Start once when I first got it. Rode it a mile but it would bog when I try to gas it. Went like 20 miles per hour max. Then later that night it wouldn’t start at all. Any ideas? I got a mikuni clone carb coming in the next few days. And I plan to do the emissions delete.

@@jgasparrr69 If I had to guess it might be vapor lock. Try opening the gas cap and see if it will crank. That would be the emissions. It happened to me. I'd ride for about 10min and the bike would die.

The choke on the carb kit I bought is on the carb itself. I didn’t use the choke cable after I took of the stock carb

Sorry for all the questions but I just got mine and I'm still learning so I'm curious as to what emissions parts I need to remove. I know about the carbon filter but that's it. It's in California so has all the CA legal crap

Im not sure if the carbon filter is the black cylinder that I refer to or not. If it is you remove the air box, (and when you replace the carb you cover the pipe that comes out of the bottom of the engine{the metal one)} and then you put a filter over the tube coming out of the top of the engine and leave the others having

So i installed a 26mm nibbi and im having alot of issues. Also alot of people in the facebook groups are saying 26mm nibbi is too big. How come the 26mm vm22 work though?

I believe it was for the extra fuel release at the bottom of the carb but it’s not needed I got rid of it

Did you have any problem registering the bike with the mobs on? Did the DMV make you VIN Verify it? Before registering it to your state.? I'm from California and emissions is big here. I would probably register it first then add all the mods.

I would register it before you do the mods, I’m in NJ so we don’t do inspection here. I had no problem with the registration for getting the title tho

How are you venting the gas tank? since is connected to the old filter and also what did you do to with the extra little pipe under the engine?, I install this same carb on my vader and so far seems to be working good but I just covered the hole under engine and I'd run a hose pointing downwards for fuel tank ventilator.

Jeifer V De la rosa the best thing to do is an emissions delete for venting the gas tank. On the left side of the bike (if you’re sitting on it) behind the side fender is a black cylinder, disconnect that and the tubes they’re attracted to. For the metal one that come from the bottom of the engine you can plug that up. There’s one tube that come out from the top of the engine, be sure to just put a cloth or something over it but allow that one to breathe still. If it’s plugged it will pressurize the engine and cause an oil leak.

Try adjusting the throttle cable up top by the throttle. It might be too tight

Hey just got a boom vader an trying to upgrade the carbe but there's 2 types of nibbie care the pe and pwk also my boy rides a 26mm on his 125 but I'm trynna get the most power an performance out out the bike so thanks in advance. I'm using it for wheelies but want the most power. Also would a 26 be better then a 24. For my 2020 boom vader.

No such thing as a stupid question. And that would be the best move otherwise gas is just gonna be pouring out from the bottom of the tank

I got my vader last week, it still have the OEM carb, and idle is too high, I turned the idle screw counter clockwise, but seems like doesn't do anything. What do you think might be wrong?

I did this with mine and had it redline while in idle. I couldn't keep it cranked either. How is yours doing?

That hasn’t happened to me, you should be able to adjust the idle. It’s possible too that when you loosened the throttle cable to get the cable head on the carb you forgot to tighten it by the actual throttle itself so make sure to check that

if it revs high at idle, you are most likely using the wrong "carb slide cap" that sits on top of the carb. I had the same issue, because I was using the stock cap with the VM22. unscrew the top cap. remove the needle assembly. install the cap and spring that came with the vm22. That should fix the idle. also make sure the slide is installed the correct way. it has 2 sides to it. when installed correctly the slide will sit on the bottom of the tube.

Yeah if the needle isn’t going all the way down that probably is the problem. You need to mess with it and figure out why and then go from there

A lot of people try to reuse the original bent throttle steam that’s on top of the needle housing you have to remove that little 45 degree pipe so the upgraded carb needle has slack

I have a 2019 boom Vader tried to upgrade to a fake Mikuni but the bike isn’t getting fuel at all, it tries to crank but doesn’t, I upped the jets multiple sizes, messed around with the air fuel screw but nothing... any suggestions?

On the original carb did you have the gas on when u took it off? I’ve read if u take the carb off when the gas is off the bike shuts of the gas in general

@Jeff Goodroad I just swapped the gas line onto the new carb (there’s no petcock on the new one) it’s also possible that there’s a kink in the fuel line as well so be sure to check that too

In my location the stock jets work good so I didn’t change mine. It’s based upon multiple things like your elevation and temperature

@@zosmokesht3595 yeah the key is you gotta just get to that high point and then you’ll be able to hold it and use the brake. It just takes practice and that spot is harder to get back to then you think. You might be close to balance point but it’s just a little further back

Up top by the right handle bar there should be an adjustment bolt for the throttle

Hello there . So I followed instructions to the T… However my throttle has a little bit of play it in it now. Like The throttle is not super tight like it was before, when jus wiggling the throttle it has a lot of play which I hate..I’m curious if that is because my throttle cable is longer now that I has a smaller carb?? Someone help pleaseee lol

If you look by your throttle on ur handlebar you’ll see on the throttle cable there is an adjustment bolt, try adjusting that and then go from there

Just switch to the vm22. Bike idles super high, out of control, when I give it any gas it starts to die. Any ideas? I was thinking it could be the pilot jet

There is a screw to adjust the idle on the carb turn it left. The dying is most likely the jets

Yes slide is not sitting all the way down make sure you have it in right there are two slots one short and one long the short wider slot goes with idle screw is

I need help asap please. When I connect the throttle cable and sprint to that end top pf the carb, the plastic tube doesn't go all the way down. It doesn't close all the way.

I installed the same kit on my bike and it fired right up, sounds awesome, idles fine and seems to have more power. The problem I’m having is it is bogging real bad. How do I fix that? I tried to adjust the air fuel mixture screw but it’s not helping.

If it’s bogging really bad you probably need to change your pilot jet.

I’ve had it for over a year so far. I didn’t have a paper gasket for mine but I’d assume it would go in between the 2 metal parts of the carb

Try opening the gas cap and see what happens. If it runs with the gas cap off you just have vapor lock

You should be able to adjust the idle on the carb. There is a screw for it. Also make sure you tightened the cable at the top by your throttle. I forgot to do that

The metal hose I just used a rubber cap but for the one that needs some air I just used a piece of t shirt

Nope the choke on the carb kit I bought was attached to the carb itself. I never had to mess with it.

So your stays on as in up all the time or just till it warms up?

@@herohose5105 no there’s a black switch that you can push up or down. When you push it up the choke is on and when you push it down the choke is off. (You can tell based on whether the bike is idling high or low, if it idles really high the choke is on if it idles lower the choke is off)

There wasn’t a specific brand, it was included in the kit that I bought.
