Being out in nature is a rejuvenation for me - even if only for a short while. For this episode, I venture not far from my house - to the Carbon River just outside of Mount Rainier National Park. When I ventured out this morning, I was hoping for a mix of landscapes and wildlife, but unfortunately my timing wasn’t the best for wildlife. I did, however, see quite a few elk tracks, which indicates this area is teaming with wildlife at the right time and right conditions.
The images from this week were mediocre, but I am always happy to be out and always happy to share the experience with all of you.

I thought the picture of the alders was pretty nice, not great but nice. I hadn't thought about taking pictures from the river bed to the sides. Thanks for the idea. I was planning on going up that way but I was going to take far more cliche pictures by stopping and shooting the Fairfax bridge. There are some old ghost towns up there too but most are so far gone they are hard to recognize.

Yeah. No great pictures from this trip, but it was nice to explore the river channel and the elk tracks were an unexpected surprise.
