0:29 I’d actually argue they influenced 4 genres. The 3 you mentioned and then pure death metal with Necroticism. Because if you look at Necroticism and Heartwork side by side, the amount of musical growth is astronomical. I’m willing to bet that a lot of modern pure death metal bands have been heavily influenced by Necroticism or at the very least incarcerated solvent abuse.

you're 100 percent right that many pure Death Metal bands have been heavily influenced by Necroticism, but the reason I exclude that category is a) it's still widely considered to be a MELODIC Death Metal album, and b) the genre already had a 5-6 year history before it dropped. Possessed, Death, Autopsy, etc had already made their mark by then.
