The '66 Dart GT w/Commando 273 AFB came stock with front disk brakes and a close-ratio steering box. I should know - I used to own one! However, factory A/C is very rare and yours is in beautiful condition.
I got a rear out of a 65 with a hypo 4 speed, never checked the ratio but it had 10 in drums, the steering was manual but I do have the box and the four-speed too, got them all to put in my 66 GT and it's just been sitting
I had 66 D Dart factory race car 10.5 compression 505 solid lift & 284 duration factory cam duel point distributor 275 hp! My mother friend purchased the Dart new in Palm Springs,CA. on the test drive it was the first car across the intersection just taking the foot off the brakes so she purchased it. She drove it from 66 to 76 when she purchased 76 Toyota Corolla she gave me the car for free but I felt bad so i put a Pioneer Super Tuner stereo & 2 4" Pyle Driver speakers in her in the Toyota $90.
Mine was a 66 dart gt 225-4spd console manual steering and brakes and radio delete my first car in 76' $500 dollars and looked brand new, black on red vinyl. 22mpg on 87 weasel piss octane!
My brother had one in 72' was a 66 Gt 2dr with the 273 powerpak v8 automatic console, power nothing! He swapped the lite 2:45:1 rear out for a sure grip 3:23:1 and chrome hooker headers with sneaker pipes! Black with red vinyl.. had and drove the car until the gas shortage of 79' traded in on a new mercury zephyr z7, what a p.o.s that zephyr was 😂
Beautiful car. In Argentina they were built from 1966-1968 as Valiant III but only 4-door 225 Slant Six powered. How much is the car worth there? I spotted a 1964 Dodge Dart with V8 318" @30,000 usd here in Buenos Aires. Regards!
Sorry. I just visited your site and saw You do have have some really nice vehicles though Especially the coming soon ones. 69 Camaro especially if it’s a Z/28
"Challenger style wheels"? No such animal. These are Mopar rally wheels going back a long time before the Challenger was ever built. Certainly not a Mopar guy.
