I suggest putting the new pipe stubs in the bottom housing first, one at a time. Then you have more flexibility putting the extensions in the unions. If it gets botched, just cut all of the stubs back a bit and retry.

Hello, my name is Lue great video. I'm ordering mine today. I have one question, do you know why my 5th port which is deep end jets would have an extension with a spring load check valve.

Hey Lue, Every single pool is unique, and the engineering is also unique. Because of this we suggest having a local pool professional out on site to take a look at your system and answer any questions regarding your specific plumbing set up.

We believe that it is a weaker connection as it is threaded as opposed to just being glued in. Just a matter of personal preference.

I have a question .... why wouldn't my blue square pop ups turn, they popup with water pressure but it never turns it stays in the same position, the DE filter has been cleaned twice in one month already.

Could be something stuck inside of the head that would need to be cleared out or the pop-up head itself is bad and need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

@@ceelosvee Then it more than likely would be the gear kit that rests inside the actuator valve that controls the pop-ups has gone bad.

What does that teardrop shaped valve do?

It is called the quick stop and its purpose is to pause the system on a specific port or zone to perform maintenance or diagnose issues with those specific pop-up heads. Hope this makes sense.

Hey man, is the metal rod that was put in years ago coming off easily? It feels like it is stuck in the lower feed and cannot remove it, forcibly remove it?

Yes it will take some force to remove that part.

@@ePoolSupply Had to remove the whole lower housing. That rod was never coming off. I have another question if I may, I installed a new lower housing, the thing is, the pipes weren't 100% even, and one pipe was not 'all the way up', it is about 3/4 of an inch sung, is there a chance it will leak? Unfortunately, I cannot test it yet as the pool is empty and ready for plastering.

Question: While waiting for my new unit to arrive, would it be ok for me to 'cap' the line so my pool can still run and not turn green? Or would it be too much pressure on the rest of the system?
