Future nostalgia is often credited for bringing back 80s synths/70s disco to mainstream consciousness but let’s be honest Carly Rae was lightyears ahead and didn’t get the recognition she deserves!!! And we are still waiting!

The best song on a terrific album. She deserves to be one of the biggest pop stars of right now - thoughtful, catchy, clever 80s inspired pop.

It actually crushes me how underrated she is and how people refer to her as a "one-hit wonder". This album came out at an emotional time in my life and every song somewhat spoke to me. Such relatable, but cleverly written lyrics with banging productions respectively to match. It may have commercially failed, but idc, it is a phenomenal album for me - Pop at its best!

Listening to this while in quarantine! Who's with me?! THIS ALBUM IS SO UNDERRATED!

At first I thought this song was just about the friendzone, but all these comments saying that what she means by "your type" is that she's not they "type" of artist for radio makes this SO MUCH DEEPER. 2016. I was serving in the British Army, conducting an overseas exercise in Canada. During down time I would hit the gym and over the radio this song would play almost every day. Nostalgia has never hit me SO hard as that I felt today. Enjoy moments because we no longer know when these moments will no longer be a moment, but in fact become a beautiful memory. ☀️

I’ve listen to this album over and over since it came out and Ive got to say one moment that I truly enjoy is 1:44 - 2:05, I love the strip back of the instrumentals and the vulnerability that Carly introduces with the following lyrics and vocals 😢👌 so good, I’m just rambling but definitely my favorite part of this song

In my opinion EMOTION is one of the best pop albums in the last decade!

Underrated. Underappreciated by most people. The true fans know. We know how special Carly is.

i have a feeling this is about her imagining herself performing in stadiums with huge crowds and lots of fans but in reality she's not that successful. like "i'm not the type of girl for you" meaning she's not the kind of artist that will succeed. and ending narrative line kinda confirms that "you need imagination to survive". she deserves more.

"Emotion" is one of the best albums I've ever listened to in my entire life. "Making the Most of The Night" needs to be a single Carly!!

Finally A Vancouver radio station played this song today, I still have not heard Runaway With me yet. And the sad thing is Vancouver is Carly’s home town .

All the songs in EMOTION hits different each year you listen to it. like, seriously, I am in tears now when listening to this and some of the songs in the album. Time change people and music will find its way to fill our heart, just like all songs in EMOTION.
