@@PintsWithAquinas Just a thought to consider for Cameron, (I'm addiing it here as I can't work out tagging, delete it as wished), I went on Stivia as I thought it would be better than sugar, long story short, my hair started thinning and falling out. Stivia was the only chabge in my diet I had done so decided to research into it more. It can have an effect on some dna of some people, the research isn't easy to find on the net. I stopped Stivia and my hair growth and quality went back to normal and I felt much better. Not giving advice üer se, just sharing for consideration. Prayers to you, and Matt and your family and the Pints team too xx
Mr. Fradd, if you ever do see this and you're gonna go on another speaking tour in the States, come down to Southern Mississippi. We need you here, if you can ever come.
You talk to each other like you’ve been best friends for your whole life and you look at each other like you’re on your first date. It’s beautiful! The two of you are such a great example of what a loving marriage is. May our Lord continue to greatly bless your marriage!
After wandering in the desert for over 50yrs, I experienced a very unexpected, magnificent, tearful night, alone with God. I sobbed till the early morning. Within a few weeks I found & travelled to an FFSP early morning Mass, confessed to a young Hispanic priest (4months ordained) and knelt for Communion on the Feast of Holy Relics. The True Cross blessed each of us afterward. Back in my nearby Parish…Covid shutdown soon arrived. A lonely Easter, Till… A video announced, “Hey, we’re binging on The Chosen”. I had never heard of it, but binged all day and night on Season 1. I know Mother Mary is not shown as Our Holy Mother, and TV Jesús, also is not Our Lord… but he is very dear, and he led me closer and closer to my Lord and Redeemer❤ Christ is King ❤️ God Bless Matt, Cameron and Family!
My husband is a carnivore now. It has saved his life. His lungs made a rumbling sound all day and night, his sinuses were always stuffed and draining. He saw a new DO allergy specialist who told him sugar gave you heart problems (4 plus stints). He did have a significant sugar addiction. He went carnivore and all that disappeared!
I lived in Sibiu Romania for a year dancing with a professional ballet company. I thought I was going to fulfill my dream of dancing in Europe (which it did) but it turned out to be where I had a huge awakening in my faith, it was the most magical honeymoon with Jesus, woods can’t describe it. Romania and the young priest friend I made there will forever have a special place in my heart ❤ I’m so glad to hear you loved the country too 😊
Two months ketovore, twenty pounds down however, the other health benefits are amazing! My mom rage has subsided, increased energy and just this week I was able to walk down the stairs normally. For an aging farmher that has had multiple knee surgeries walking down stairs alternating steps instead of leading with my good leg and going one step at a time is mind blowing.
Please guys, come to Brazil, me and hundreds of other people would absolutely love to have your family in our country giving one of your talks, it'be a blessing. Our Blessed Virgin was crowned the Queen of our country 100 years ago and we are having a massive Catholic revival at the moment, churches packed with young men and women, we'd love for you to be a part of this as well. Praying for you and your family!
Just found this podcast, and the amount of life-wisdom and marriage-advice gold in these episodes with your wife have helped my heart so much. Just wanted to say thank you for talking about this stuff.
You guys need to write a book together on faith, marriage and parenting! i just love your videos and have learned so much. Thank you so much for all your work!
I LOVE THIS THANK YOU JESUS I NEED IT TO SEE A COUPLE IN GOD HAVING FUN I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS. MATT THANKS BROTHER I JUST TURNED 30. May the Lord lead me to have a life like yours in ideal bro. Thank you. Thank you!
This was the most beautiful honest raw conversation. My heart so moved. I’m 65 years old and so much of the sharing of the interior self revelations resonated with me. Thank you both for answering a call from God. You really drew me on. And Matt… of all the podcast RU-vid X Catholic stuff I listen to, you have a gift. You always speak to my heart. Such honesty and kindness.
I've been carnivore for 7 months! I always like to see how others are doing on it. It keeps me motivated to keep going. That and the fact that I feel terrible eating most plants and all carbs.
@@smcgrg If you decide to do it, change your diet slowly over 6 to 8 weeks. You'll avoid a lot of the keto flu and you won't screw up your gut microbiome.
I am so glad your family had such a beautiful opportunity to spend time in Europe. I’m sure you both were such a blessing! Cameron, honey you look radiant and the picture of health. I’m so glad you’re doing good. You make such a great looking couple and you seem to be the perfect compliment to each other. I pray the Good Lord continues to use you in mighty ways for His glory. Keep up the great work!❤
Yes every priest needs to learn from that priest Fr Jim. It’s amazing when the priest connect with your child. Fr Antony was that priest for my son. I still pray for him!
Hi Matt! I would love for you to do a show on beauty standards from the man’s perspective… everything you said was so true. The pressure to be perfect/attractive is so strong now, esp. for you women. I’m 30; plastic surgery is rampant where I live. It would be interesting to see what perspective you bring as a man, and with our Catholic faith!
Matt I imagine. If you got the $$. Teeth look perfect. My daughter 46 because she can not afford the 15,000 to fix teeth have to have them pulled. I am trying to even come up with some way to buy her dentures. She has child. I to poor to afford dental care. She had beautiful smile. Reality! So please. You are so I sentive
Got the $$$. It's diabolic. So self righteous. My beautiful daughter cries. She can not afford dental care. Will lose teeth. She has threatened suicide. The shame.
Cameron, thank you so much for being a beautiful and interesting person! ❤ I feel like there are many Catholic or conservative outlets that want to put women into this box that you can only bake bread, nurse babies, and wear prairie dresses. It’s okay to love those things! But some outlets act like any other sort of desire is evil and not feminine. But to me that just seems a little immature to expect that personality in every woman! Don’t get me wrong I’m a wife who longs to be a stay-at-home mom some day and I think it is a God-given right that women should be allowed to stay home with their children. However, I am so thankful for you talking about your love of adventure and the beach. You being honest about these things contributes to your beauty and makes you special in God’s eyes! Thank you for talking about the Seminarians in Rome who were just “normal”, I am married to a former Seminarian and we’ve noticed sometimes talking to religious can be more “normal” than the lay people in the pews 😂 thank you Cameron for just being normal! Normal meaning, we’re all people with different thoughts, feelings, and desires. God made us all different because He wanted to! Thanks for being honest and real, it’s beautiful! Can’t wait to start watching your show too!
God bless both of you ❤ you are one of the people who contributed to my conversion from ‘woke’ atheist to Catholic (baptised this Easter) and I can never thank you enough 🙏 Glory to God
Cam’s comment about the “anti Mary” just clicked for me and I finally understand the significance and importance of Mary and how much she has been suppressed and silenced.
I would just like to thank you for the honesty and openness you and your wife shared on this episode. I was blessed to have grandparents who ranched. It's 100% frustrating how the beef/meat industry is viewed in America by certain people. Also, as a craddle, Catholic, I have only been blessed with amazing priests growing up. I agree with you, Matt that a kind Priest can have a huge impact on a child who thinks they are a throw away person in the world. Bless you both.
I don't know why I wait to listen to these episodes with Cameron. I deny myself what I feel will be uninteresting, and find they are so fun and awesome in the end. My mother fled Slovenia May 5th, 1945. If you want to know Slovenia and survivors of communist rule, read "Slovenia, 1945". Ironically my mother's picture is in that book. It is written from the different perspective of three survivors of the Mass Grave of 10,000 soldiers handed over by the British military because they were insignificant and not part of the "deal". Awesome book. Yes, all my uncles were shorter than me 5"9.
Yes, this did happen.... the EXODUS and Genocide of Slovenians and Croatians; the English Army handed them over to the Communist Tito for the MASSACRE of men, women and their children.... even pregnant women ..... this was the largest group MASSACRE enmasse in Europe... in WWII:
My daughter has suffered. Lost everything due to same illness. She can not afford a roof over her head. Much less a carnivore diet. There is no sensitivity. To others. Many devout good traditional Catholics are also living in extreme poverty. With health conditions. I pray for All. God have mercy bless All
Yeah. 🙏. However she not alone. These people do not have support or love that she has. Be aware. More sensitive. She talks of coffee shop. How many can go and get a 5$ coffee?
No soil for heart to take root. How many parents working 2 jobs fighting against the social media. It's tough. Even tougher when there is an eviction. Groceries. Christ have Mercy. On those in most need of his mercy . You two are self absorbed. Little compassion for those less fortunate.
Please clip that segment that starts at 2:09:08!!! I am a young married and work in marriage and family ministry and this was such an excellent conversation for more couples to hear!!! This is not being taught, and more marriages need to hear the vulnerablility, honesty, and kindness that is represented!!!! Thanks so much to everyone at Pints with Aquinas!!! I’ve come such a long way since I first started watching you when you had Dr. Andrew Swafford on during the pandemic(or right before the pandemic)?!? Anyways, God bless you!
I cried when a friend at a book club meeting told me that Christ would have died on the cross even if I were the only person that needed saving! Totally floored me
You probably already already know about this, but Father Chad Ripperberger recommends the Auxilium Christianorum prayers for spiritual warfare. There’s one for each day of the week. The way y’all are so active for the Lord, ya’ll need all the help you can get. I’ll keep y’all on my prayer list. You’ve been there for over a year now.
Thank you for your comment. I was just reading his book on Deliverance Prayers and your comment on the Auxilium Christianorum prayers prompted me to check the book to see if he covered them in the book. Sure enough, there's a wonderful explanation that shares the purpose and value of them as well as prayers. So your comment put that on my radar and will likely do so for many others. Good job!
@@Tiggsy2000 Bless your heart Tiggsy. I’ll tell you something handy. On RU-vid, they have those daily prayers, you pray while you’re doing whatever needs done for the day. They’re beautiful prayers! When I heard Father Chad talk about them, I knew they must be special. How was the book? I haven’t read that one yet.
Would love a European river cruise with y'all, but only if we go on the Danube and stop at Weltenburg Abbey (Benedictine monks who have been brewing beer since 1050) in Bavaria to enjoy holy Mass followed by a pint (or 2)!
I live in Germany and I have been twice to Geneva. Just entering the city, there was something very weird I couldn't explain I didn't know we had arrived there, since I was traveling in a bus. It was just a feeling of no hope and darkness. I felt it was kind of a deja vu and told my cousin afterwards. I frizzed, while hearing you talking about this city. I used to live in the border very close to Switzerland and I could always feel something weird when crossing the border. Now is clear to me !! Your wife looks amazing! :)
2:49:00 I really appreciate Cameron's response. I was not Catholic when my husband and I got married, and without the tremendous grace of God bringing us together, and my husband pushing for us to be married in the Catholic church and to raise our children Catholic, I probably wouldn't be Catholic today. We had a lot of people pushing for us to split up, but God brought us together and by grace we both knew that. I understand the concern absolutely, but please get to know him and be a light for Christ. On the flip side, the rudeness and refusal to see my husband as a human by my mother and mentors was a big part of what led me to distance myself from my Mormon faith (praise God). They couldn't see how GOOD he was and how good we were together, they could only see that he wasn't Mormon.
Badly done. I was really enjoying this episode and had actually shared it but unsubscribed after 2:23:43 heartbreaking. A husband telling his wife, the person that she's the most vulnerable and intimate with, that he thinks she's unattractive because she needs to lose weight is such horrible advice. You spend so much of this episode talking about how even when you're "eating healthy" your body can be unhealthy and falling apart but then you say if a woman is fat she must not care about her weight and is eating McDonald's all day, and your solution is to try whole30? I listened to this 3 times to make sure I was hearing it right I know I am sensitive to it, being overweight, and pregnant with my seventh child in ten years, but I also think that this was discussed so cruelly and so uncharitably. I don't believe in this hypothetical woman, who is married to a man, and doesn't care about her weight who isn't aware of whole30 or eating real food. The body positive gluttons aren't married to men who watch pints with Aquinas. There are overweight Catholic moms who struggle with their weight who listen to Pints and your suggesting that their husbands should tell them that they are unattractive making it clear with the disgust in your voice and expression that you would find them repulsive. Cameron was right this was just too rude and mean and to spend so much time on it badly done.
@@themohrlands i can understand you. But i don't think that this was said to be mean or degrading. I always tell my fiancé, that if i get too big (i also struggle with my weight, but it is still not overweight but on the way..), he needs to tell me. One of my priorities in life is indeed looking good for him (and just for him). But i also know, that he would be very loving in telling me and would help me with my journey to lose weight. He would for example help me with a meal plan or taking the kids for me to have time to do sports (or maybe just for a walk). That comforts me. And of course the physical attractivness is not everything in a marriage. You will have your seventh child!! Thats so great, i will pray for you and your family. I also hope to be blessed with many children. And if God allows me to be blessed in this way, than i wouldn't mind to be a little chubby. The woman body is supposed to be soft and cozy after all. But i still would try to have a nice feminine form and my soon to be husband promised to help me with that. ❤️
@@j2muw667 They used to bleep it when Matt accidentally called Thursday by his real name… Just wondered why the sudden change. But it’s ok, no worries 😅
I was sad that the churches were pretty empty when we visited Ireland (both the Republic and Northern Ireland). With all the Irish priests we knew or knew of in the US, I think our perception was that Ireland is a place of very devout citizens. We loved interacting with everyone there, and it is a beautiful place. But it didn’t appear that all that many people attended Mass regularly (of course the US is in the same condition, sadly).
A tiny piece of steak is 8$ 1/2 lb. Its a once a month treat. Please talk to your audience that live in poverty. Many good devout Catholics live in extreme poverty
as a Dutch Christian i am shocked but not suprised at your experiance, the nation is a Christian desert. according to goverment statistics about 30% of the population is Christian and decreasin. But in reality the number is far lower, not including the group that says they are Christian but really subscribe to the modern beliefs woke christians are the most depressing thing, anyway. I am sad I missed your talk, I live close to Utrecht. God Bless
You went to Rome as a teenager. God is good. You must realize. Many have not nor will ever.. Have the same opportunities.. So many of our popular Catholic podcasters are so disconnected. There is the woman of 7 who never left her state. A good devout woman . Raised children in faith. There are today persons who love Christ , Our Lady the Church. But homeless. Sit in the back because they stink. The shame. You sit there sharing good cigars. The point is to evangelize. Reach those in most need. I am 62. A Latin Mass goer. The church is missing opportunities. We are pro- life Yet. How many really care? Care after the birth? Our society is in dire straights ... Is not the point to reach out to those in most need. Catholic Church is not a private club.
So upsetting to hear about the poor priest dealing with a terrible superior in Switzerland. This is why it’s so frustrating to see Pope Francis focus on things like climate change when we genuinely have a true crisis within the Church dealing with the battering ram called secularism💔
I am jelous. I have knelt before the Euchrist for 50 years. Even after back surgery. I love Christ and our Church. Yet i am faceless. Thats okay. I would give anything to make a pilgrimage. I can not leave my sofa back pain. Despair and depression. I have a budget of 50$ week for groceries. So Carnivore not an option. I love and appreciate our Catholic podcasters. Thank God for you all. I fo struggle with anger. Even priest ask for money. Cameron lilies cost membership. Thank God all we need is the mass and scripture. So many... Lika Rose. Catholic minute... Taylor marshall. Fr leo. Fr chris alar. List goes on. Give $ I give always to my lical parish. I try and help neighbor. You and Matt have friends. Clergy. All over the world. Your new beachfront home. Your life is only something one can dream of. We exists. We may have rotten teeth. Maybe overweight. Processed foods. Unable to take children to dentist. My granddon horrible buck teeth. Yet. Can not afford dental work. Would love to honeschool. But working 2 jobs. Trust in Jesus. Devine Mercy!. Please get real Willing to leave it all to preach the gospel. Not all can live the same life. You and Trent Horn. Great conversation learn much. But its like you are standing on a pedestal. So boessed to have consecrated to Mary. Hope it not a plow. Increase avaible audience. Matt. I say lovingly. Check your arrogance. Self righteous. Me? Me? Take that to heart. God bless
Any good exorcist will tell you you have no authority to lay hands on anyone, and the devil knows the authority chain. This is a mistake that slipped into the Church from Pentecostalism through the charismatic movement.
@@johnhlas3762 Jesus was addressing his newly ordained priests, and no one else in the passage you cite. Similarly, he gave his newly ordained priests, and no one else the power to forgive men sins, though protestants seem to think that they can confess their sins to anyone, and many Catholics think they have the authority to lay hands on anyone and pray over them, but this is not the case, and any good exorcist will tell you so. A parent does have the authority to pray over their children-I’m not sure about laying on hands though.
Could you PLEASE clip the miscarriage answer? As a mum of 3 miscarriages and know many women who ask for advice on this, it would be incredibly helpful to send to people. Wonderful interview!
One thing I noticed about Stuebenville is that it isn't far from the environmental disaster in East Palenstine. In fact, it is downriver no? I often wonder how that disaster would affect the health of those near in the long run. Could your flare have anything to do with that?
Cameron, have you had any symptoms of Oxalate dumping? I tried to do a primarily carnivore diet and my digestive system went haywire. I’ve had to add in some fruit and even organic sourdough toast to stave off daily diarrhea. Which I believe now is Oxalate dumping. The high oxalate foods are spinach, almonds, Swiss chard, beet roots, cocoa/chocolate…other nuts, black tea and potatoes, sweet potatoes etc. So if you’ve eaten a lot of those over the years and then go on carnivore, you could have dumping of a long build up of oxalates.
After watching this honest conversation, I realized that marriage is more trouble than it is worth. I am a single one, and I intend to stay this way. Thanks for sharing.
@@greenhornet5186 You won't be avoiding trouble or finding lighter and easier trouble to deal with in other vocations either. Being single or a priest or a religious will be just as difficult, in different ways.
For the spouse gaining weight conundrum: Husbands or wives, should break it to their spouse by saying they’re concerned about the spouse’s health. Bring up the spouse’s family medical history if it’s relevant (diabetes, hypertension, etc). Offering to work out together by doing the little things like go on walks, especially with littles, it’s beneficial for everyone! I guarantee if the husband and wife agree to no longer buy processed foods or eat fast food, both spouses will lose weight.
Weight? Does it change who the person is. My granddaughter has struggled with weight. The guilt. The shame. You all do disconnected. Mother Angelica for a period had great struggle with weight. You to are so insensitivity.
@@JulieDevonshire I literally don’t understand what you’re saying. In the United States, the majority of Americans are overweight and obese due to highly processed foods! Most of the health issues are chronic illnesses like diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. are due to eating terrible. American companies give us complete crap food and sell their same products abroad without the toxic ingredients because the European governments ban those terrible ingredients. We are facing a childhood obesity epidemic like never seen before and doctors are now prescribing Ozempic to 11-12 year olds. So, if someone has some medical condition where it’s not their fault, whatever medical conditions you’re talking about, that’s different. But the chronic metabolic diseases are all preventable. Make America Healthy Again.
Interesting and sad how you feel about Geneva Switzerland. Our niece and family moved there 8 months ago and I can tell the difference and their lack of faith already. It has even been noticeable with her parents...my brother and sister in-law. It had noticeable effects for my FIL funeral. Please pray for them.
Cameron please look into mold for the root cause of your health issues. I have most if not all of the same conditions you have and found that various mold exposures in my life were making me flare. Especially if you felt better while out of your house! ❤
So glad carnivore has helped you. Also helped Jordan Petersons wife. My daughter has same condition. 15 yrs. She has suffered greatly. Tested for everything under the sun Lyme desease. I cashed in my retirement which not that much to take her to mayo clinic 10 yrs ago She had been unable to work. She can not afford to keep roof over her head. Much less a carnivore diet Cheap hamburger is expensive. Any thoughts. How can someone do a carnivore diet with little income.beef so expensive... Just not feasible.
