Thank you for watching! We’re very lucky that we got to ride Fury 325 prior to the closure, due to a crack in one of the supports. Hopefully this issue is resolved soon!

You definitely got lucky you visited when you did with the support crack on Fury now.

Glad no one got hurt, recent events in theme parks just goes to show we should never take anything for granted.

I’m glad the massive crack in the support beam that was there when you guys rode Fury 325 didn’t fail. I just finished watching this video of you guys and the very next one was NBC news reporting the poor park conditions. I can’t believe when it was first reported to the park they ignored it, until it was reported to the authorities who shut it down thank God. Glad you guys are safe. Love your channel… keep up the awesome work! 👍

I’m glad you guys enjoyed Fury 325. It is a shame that it is now closed due to a crack in one of the supports but at least you got to ride it. Can’t wait for tomorrow guys!

That crack in the Fury coaster was MASSIVE. So lucky nothing happened. I guess the rest of the coaster held it together until it was noticed. Rip for the lady at Gröna Lund, Stockholm, though. 😔💔🙏

omg, so I just took a break half way through this and read the news, stumbled across a story where the fury 325 ride has had a large crack in it for over a week? It was closed down on Friday but the crack has been there for at least 6 days prior, slowly getting bigger!! A guest noticed it and informed the park!!! OMG

I like Carowinds park a lot...thank you Shawn and Charlotte...I would never have discovered it for years without your great road trip...I've followed you all the way so far...it's been great...💛💯

There’s a photo from June 24th showing the crack just starting on Fury. You may have ridden it while that crack was still forming.

The Carowinds amusement park said that it closed the coaster, called Fury 325, “after park personnel became aware of a crack at the top of a steel support pillar.”

Looks like Carowinds is a really good park! I like the parade one the best!

Brilliant vlog

I rode Fury during Spring Break this year, and my friend Tom rode it earlier in the month. Really glad you were able to get rides in too. Shocking that they would have to be forced to shut it down right before 4th of July weekend!

So happy you and Charlotte were able to ride Fury. And I agree, Nighthawk needs to be retired. I always avoid that ride, and Hurler, lol.

Fury 325 looks amazing what a ride. The park looks like it has some great coasters. Like Charlotte I’m not keen on those flying coaster’s however lying in your back, so uncomfortable. Copperhead Strike looks great and so does the family coasters. I love a good cooling Frappe drink either Starbucks or Costa. Nice vlog TPW gang.

So glad you guys visited some of the other parks in the southeast. The Florida parks are all great but love hearing your opinions of the other parks like Carowinds, SFOG, Dollywood etc....

Shaun films and informs everyone on the golden ticket award winners! Also Shaun doesn’t talk about the fact Fury 325 won best rollercoaster in the world which beat his number 1 coaster! CONVENIENT 😂

After hearing about the support of Fury 325 failing about a day or two ago I'm relieved to know that (I'd say you but you've already ridden it) Charlotte had the opportunity to ride Fury 325. I consider myself blessed for not only having finally having been able to ride it this year, but hearing you and Charlotte's impressions my favourite roller coaster after Steal Vengeance. I usually like the back of coasters best, and while I think the drop of Fury 325 is slightly better in the back: I'd agree that it's a front row ride! Once I rode it when it reached 100 MPH during the last ride of the evening (being 8pm in early/mid April 2023). I also met a tour of of young German coaster enthusiasts who I befriended riding Fury 325 but who also laughed at me for suggesting that I thought Silver Star (from what I'd seen from POVs but have never ridden even to this day) had as good a layout as Diamondback. I get that Silver Star might not be as good as Diamondback, but the layout is still as good, only possibly beaten by Goliath at La Ronde. Then again: they invited me to join them in their car to ride Arie Force One in Georgia which they were going to next which was "an hour away" to which I had to decline due to my finances and itinerary. Perhaps I could have, but I'm ok that I didn't; it'd be a risk for me. Intimidator is one of my favourite coasters, but I don't think it's as good as Diamondback, Behemoth, or even Raging Bull, but it's better than Nitro, Leviathan and even Orion IMO. But Fury 325 is the best coaster I've ridden after Steel Vengeance, and so far nothing else is as good. I'll be sure to let you know if anything else changes. Afterburn is one of my favourite B&M inverts and the best seat is back left, since 1: back is best and 2: all right seats on Afterburn deliver head banging. I feel bad for the Fury crew since the incident, since they're much better at ops than any other attraction at Carowinds, but congratulations for getting there before the incident and I hope your trip keeps bringing the magic of travel and thrills. Wow you really got lucky getting Fury 325 in. My guess is that will not be reopening for some time. Looks like an amazing amusement park. Definitely on my top 5 list of parks to still do in the U.S.

OMG Charlotte, I was going to comment on your Sanbrooke Adventures channel to pick up some Hellmans Mayo while you were in Jungle Jim’s International section 🫣 haha But then I realised that you weren’t still there by the time I was watching lol lol ❤

this park been a hot topic it seems at moment, apparently a crack in the supports of Fury caused it to close but only after a paramedic reported it to fire department, not sure how true that is but glad you guys got on it before that happened!

Very interesting of your review on copperhead strike where it often gets good reviews And in many cases great reviews I guess it just goes to prove how we are all different. I’ll just say it was quite surprising.

I honestly would rather ride an SLC than a Flying Dutchman any day. I couldn’t stand X Flight back at Geauga Lake. I avoided it when I would go with my friends, but when my summer camp would go I would have to suck it up because I didn’t want to sign up for the group that would only ride some rides or else I’d miss out on some of the rides I loved. I’m glad you two were safe given the Fury situation, you made it there just in the nick of time.

The nighthawk looked so much fun

That parade music and choreography reminded me a bit of Fortaventuras parade.

This is our home park as we live 15 minutes away. Could not agree with you more on Nighthawk. Brutal ride that they need to replace. Also, Hurler would be fine if they would retrack it. Love your channel and hope your trip overall was fun and successful.

You guys are very lucky to have not been there when it’s crack had formed and was discovered, it’s a disgrace, great vlog guys!

You’re absolutely right about how unfair the locker situation is, especially with it being such a hot day and turning away people for having water bottles!? The park is asking for people to have heat exhaustion, heat stroke, passing out, etc that is more of a liability and potential issue than those lockers could ever make to justify it, so they should do away with that system.

Carolina cyclone is actually the first coaster to feature 4 inversions in 1980

Great vlog, ive seen a video and read that one of the supports on Fury 325 has cracked and the park didnt realise it but they hace now and taped it all up. Hope everyone stays safe at the park.

The Hurler kills me it's horrible, cyclone is my daughters favorite one and it's a classic

Awe to bad there was a crack on it. I haven't been to this place in my life before. My friends today said will take me in two years I'll probably experience Carowinds in two years. I'm hoping fury will be fixed soon. Cuz I do want to ride this tbh. It will be my first time visiting this place. Last time I travel out of Canada was 2009.

Pretty sure I went the day after you. We both got pretty lucky with the current Fury situation 😅

Also the train you saw in bits by Fury is one of the old Firehawk trains from Kings Island

My home park is Kings Dominion and they revamped their Hurler with Twisted Timbers a completely different experience. Maybe Carowinds will do the same one day. I love Carowinds because they have so many flats and coasters something for everyone. Can’t wait till Charlotte rides Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion the first drop I black out every time. And yes Carowinds needs to work on their food line up but their parks in general are cleaner, well maintained and have more theming than any Six Flags Park. In my opinion though Busch Gardens Williamsburg has the best food. Glad you guys are enjoying yourselves and got to enjoy Fury before it’s temporary closure.

Yea nighthawk is very rough and I usually don't ride it and it has had 3 names since we had it lol

My guess is that they (the state) will require massive inspections of every support. I’m sure it won’t open for at least a year.

Wow, just seen the clip of the crack on fury 325, thats frightening stuff, it was a clear break on the support holding the track, thank goodness someone apotted that and a potential disaster avoided, good job i wasnt a merlin park thats all i can say......

Hurler needs a call made to RMC for it.
