Here's the blotter update:
- As a cross between the sci-fi musk vibe of Mugler Cologne and the 'organic' bite of Guerlain Herba Fresca, this is an intriguing piece of work, although it could be argued that it shouldn't have been released as a Declaration flanker. It sustains its personality right through to the end: green, citrusy and ever so slightly unsettling.

Love the Declaration,had it back in the days,(early 2000),and recently repurchased it...wow,what a flashback it was!before that,bought parfum version and d'un soir. Both great in their own ways...so,i could say I'm a fan of the line:)

I don't know anything about the Declaration but what I do know is that you look great and sound amazing 😃 and I will definitely check out this fragrance as well as many of the ones you talk about.

@@Persolaise just stay pure as a virgin's tear in your thoughts and reviews. I never buy anything blindly (an old school person) but a couple of times I came across very popular bloggers and they often promote harsh trash (I take into account the fact that perfumery is a matter of taste) but when trash is trash it is trash! By the way, where is the video about you personally? The name is persian, you live in London... my mother is from Isfahan, the capital of rose potion for the best european perfume houses of the past and the mecca of silk carpets. My dad is russian so im half viking half persian 🤪 if u have told about yourself id love to have a link and if u have not, do it next time please.

original Declaration is a historic piece for sure. I would suggest trying Oud & Ambre from the les heures voyageuses collection, its magnificent

I just bought this week Insouciance and Allégresse from the Rivières edition. They’re so beautiful. I love them and they’re going to travel a lot with me because I love nature, ocean, hiking in British Columbia and this parfumés are perfect for me, so earthy and citrusy. I love their names too and I love that Mathilde Laurent didn’t feel the need to use musk to blend this . I also don’t have a problem if I need to reapply them every fourth hour because sometimes I like to change them and I don’t like parfumés who stick on my skin until next day. I tested Declaration too (the light blue / turquoise one) it’s so beautiful, fresh and smell so natural, I didn’t smell any synthetic in it. This parfumés are the best

It reminds me of green tea by elizabeth arden. I discovered it accidentally earlier today in Cartier store. It brought up so many good memories, I was grinning from ear to ear:-) bought it on the spot. The longevity on me is 3-4 hours

I'm a big fan of Cartier fragrances. I own three from the Declaration series (the original, Essence & Eau de Parfum), two from the Pasha series (EDP & Edition Noire), Santos and L'Envol EDP, and I love them all. I've just received today my 50ml bottle of Haute Fraîcheur and for me, it's a huge disappointment. The smell is just a generic sweet herbaceous summery smell that becomes a skin scent in the first 10 minutes after application. After those 10 minutes have passed, there was nothing left on my skin. No projection, no sillage, no longevity. I cannot even offer it as a gift... To be fair, I do not have a good relationship with summery scents. I have over 130 perfumes in my collection, but less than 30 of them are warm-season dedicated; it's very difficult for me to find freshies that work well with my skin chemistry.

Excellent question. From memory, I’d say the Chanel is mossier and more austere.
