In addition to voicing Shaggy, he also did Robin on SuperFriends, also created by Hanna-Barbara. Casey was a worthy product of his time & can never be replaced...EVER😭.
Jerry didn't look impressed!!! He was always a miserable man who wasn't happy till he got his own way!!! God love Casey! Brilliant man with a heart of gold!!! Rip Mr kasem!!!
This is really wholesome. I never knew Casey voiced Shaggy, I only knew him for his involvement with music. So this was a pleasant surprise. Casey Kasem was a great man.
And he was still voicing Shaggy into the 2000s when he was in his 70s! He didn't pass the torch until his dementia diagnosis and even then, he still voiced Shaggy's relatives in Scooby Doo tv shows up until a year before he died. He obviously had a great love for that character, which is just very sweet.
@@kayandaeddings4803 Well, there are plenty of people in the world, if they have auditions, they might find a person with the same or similar impression.
We are not God's counselor or his advisor. We do not speak for God. We do not have the authority to say where any of us will be or what we will be doing. We are just the creation and not the creator. We all deserve hell and then the lake of fire on judgement day.
@@JohnSmith-uy7sv Thank you for that lovely speech! I hope you have a wonderful day and God bless you! You have way too much time on your hands since you feel the need to comment on my post that has absolutely nothing to do with you whatsoever. I love it! Thank you for the attention and God bless. See you in heaven also, my friend!
R.I.P. Kemal Amin “Casey” Kasem original voice of Norville “Shaggy” Rogers from Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! Norville’Shaggy’Rogers voicing him for 40-44 years all started September 6th, 1969-2014 Scooby-Doo Where Are You, Season 1, when you we’re 37 years old, and ended the age of 82 years old, born on April 27th, 1932, died June 15th, 2014, R.I.P. Casey Kasem, America’s top 10-40 radio hits!
I was born in 1989, so I never knew about his radio career, but for me, since I was really young, I used to watch Scooby Doo where are you on TV on Cartoon Network in the 1990s, and the other Scooby Doo series, and I have enjoyed that franchise for almost 20 years now, I always used to see his name in the credits, so thats how I learned of him, It was sad that he eventually lost that iconic voice, and now he is gone, so all I can say is RIP Casey, you provided me with so much entertainment over the years of my childhood and teenage years as Shaggy, Goodbye, you will be missed, thankyou for the memories and fun on Scooby Doo.
Hi Zerosen89. I absolutely loved your comment, and I want to thank you for sharing your memories of Casey. I was also a long time fan of him and enjoyed listening to his radio show every Sunday morning. I had the amazing opportunity to meet him in 2006, and we kept in contact after that. Although I've been blind since birth, I'm thankful he encouraged me to "Keep my feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars." Because he was one of the reasons why I have a real love and passion for music and DJing today. Feel free to check out my RU-vid channel and hit me up, if you're interested in getting to know me. I always enjoy meeting people who are fans of someone who had a successful career and was special to so many people. :)
I'm glad you have good childhood memories of him because his alter-ego, that, presumably, you didn't hear about, expressed his antiamerican,anti-Semitic. pro-Arab nationalist views on radio.
Oh Casey, both you and Frank Welker have made Scooby Doo a legend. I remember Casey appearing in an episode of Saved by the Ball, good times. A bit of a tangent to be sure but he was there, but still, hope your taking it easy up there Casey. We do miss you, down here!
No one could ever count down America's favorite music and voice out 'ol Shaggy like Casey. This man was and still is one of my greatest heros. Waking up every Saturday morning to AT40 and watching scooby doo was my thing to do as a kid. Great, wonderful memories!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, indeed he was, but he was especially talented as a Top 40 DJ, a role he took very seriously for 40 years, and of course, his talent lending his voice to Shaggy on "Scooby-Doo" for many years as well.
I don't how long ago Don Messick passed away, some 20 odd years ago maybe. The only positive thing I can look at is now with Casey's passing, I can assure that both Casey & Don are entertaining the heavens above as Scooby & Shaggy right about now.
I've been listening to Casey Kasem on the radio now every weekend for the past year or so. I had no idea he was so big and well known, I didn't know he was an actor and I also didn't know that he was dead. I thought that every time I listened to him on the radio that it was live, I had no idea it was pre-recorded. I wish I wouldn't have looked him up now so that I could go back to thinking he was alive and currently doing his radio show every weekend
