Not a ferret in that early scene - a mongoose. They kill and eat venomous snakes like cobras, and win the vast majority of their fights with them. Mongooses fighting cobras is famous worldwide in part because of the children's story Rikki-Tiki-Tavi (part of the Jungle Book).

Growing up, my Bond was Roger Moore...who truly encompassed the wild 70's and early 80's. Definitely continue on and finish all of the Daniel Craig films. After that, work your way forward, starting at the beginning with Sean Connery. It'll take some time to watch each era, but it's a good challenge worth the time and effort to see each take of Bond, and the time period they exist within.

Now you've started the Daniel Craig Bonds Trixy, you need to watch them in release order as there is a ongoing story running through them. 'Casino Royale' - 'Quantum of Solace' - 'Skyfall' - 'Spectre' & finally 'No Time To Die' Otherwise. it's really the Connery movies that are the best IMHO again probably in release order.

Pierce Brosnan was my first Bond but I really like Daniel Craig's take on the character. Fun fact In the original novel by Ian Fleming the Casino Royale is inspired by the Casino Estoril in Portugal, a country that was neutral during WW2 but right in the middle of the conflict and thus a spy hotbed

Goldfinger 1964 - The first original James Bond character (and Daniel Craigs Bond character was modelled after Sean Connery, because the audience found the other Bonds too weak!), and especially: Gert Fröbe was an absolutely stunning, evil and interesting Bond villain, most probably the most iconic of all 26 movies, together with Donald Pleasance as Blofeld. I liked the Oscar-winnerJavier Bardem as Bond villain, but he did not reach this quality. And a character named Pussy (I will not spoiler the last name, who ever saw the movie can never forget THAT one) was something totally unique, especially at that time - still sooo entertaining. I mean, you can't beat that. Actually, nearly all names in this movie are pure gold. And one of these all-time classic one-liners comes up instantly to my mind. Maybe the best one ever, when James faced death, once again. And it's not even HIS line! The whole movie is gold. Don't get me started on the iconic title song. I am a bit shocked so few people recommended this one. It was a Bond movie that got an Oscar and recouped it's production costs in only 3 weeks (entry into the Guiness Book of Records). MANY refer to it as the best Bond movie of ALL times. For a good reason. 99% on Rotten Tomatoes! It recouped 40x it's production costs, has a really entertaining script, all of the greatest dangers that were available at that time and although it has a really hard Bond character who actually has this secret agent flair that many later Bonds didn't, it also has a good portion of humor. Quite THE Bond movie prototype.

Pierce Brosnon was the Bond I was first introduced to, with “GoldenEye” which is a must watch. Pierce did 4 movies as Bond and they’re all really good. The first series with Sean Connery are all very dated but are all considered really good as well. Unfortunately, Roger Moore was basically given the worst scripts to work with. Stay away from “Diamonds Are Forever”, “MoonRaker”, “Live and Let Die”, “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”, and “A View To A Kill”. “Casino Royale” was the 1st book, and the 1st appearance of Daniel Craig, which was actually done as a Reboot to the Series, as if Bond had just been given his Double 00 status, and this was his 1st Adventure.

The Daniel Craig Bond movies have a continuing story to them, so it would probably be best to watch them in order. Most of the other Bond movies are non-serialized, with each movie essentially being its own standalone story with little in the way of story continuity from film to film. They would even recast Bond four or five times across the series, and there isn't much acknowledgment of it and it has no bearing to the plot. But Daniel Craig's casting was an intentional restart for the series, as he's meant to be a younger Bond on his very first mission as a Double-0 agent. Casino Royale was a reboot for the franchise. After 20 or so Bond movies, formula had set it (Bond is sent in to stop some cartoonishly evil villain from enacting a plan of world domination) and had become increasingly absurd in its set pieces (at one point, Bond drives an invisible car and surfs on a tsunami.) So inspired by Batman Begins, they decided to bring Bond back to a more grounded, realistic tone with Casino Royale.

You were spot on about how every single James Bonde film has a "Bonde Girl" that he becomes romantic with, however this run of Bonde with Daniel Craig is almost like a soft reboot of James Bonde. So this is one of his first ever missions and he truly fell in love with the girl, but his love for her and hers for him cost her, her life and sort of fucked over the Agency. So I think the idea is, when "M" said "You've learned your lesson" that was to never fall in love.. hence forth, Bonde will be charming and have flings with the ladies but never truly give them his heart.

Each Bond movie is an event too, it's not just a movie. A LOT is expected of a new Bond movie. They need to be doing action sequences that push the boundaries of what's possible at the time. Each one is a major tent pole movie where the studio expects to make bank from big ticket sales, repeat viewings, DVD sales etc. Each one has it's own Bond girls, gadgets, cars, and a commissioned theme tune that's released and marketed as a single, with a tie in music video etc. I think it was the Bond movies that started the trend of the huge explosive pre-title action sequence. Before that, movies always started with the titles and or credits showing you who you were about to see.

In regard of the titles, Star Wars was an exception. Back then, they had to get a special permission from (I think) the actors guild, to be able to show no beginning titles at all, only the „A long time ago in a galaxy far far away…“, „STAR WARS“, and the text crawl.

It makes sense that you would watch the Daniel Craig 007 films because the franchise did a total reboot, starting with Daniel Craig's 007 Casino Royale. Daniel Craig is also the latest James Bond. All the other 007 Bond films are a continuation of the adventure from the previous film. But you don't necessarily have to know all the previous movies if you just jumped into one. They are each well enough as a stand-alone movie. Sean Connery was the 1st Bond. Then George Lazenby. The torch was then handed to Roger Moore. Then Timothy Daltan. Note that there are references to previous Bond films about a former Bond actor despite having a different actor playing the current role. For example, Timothy Daltan, as 007 in License to Kill, had a reference that James Bond was previously married. We know that was referring to 007 played by George Lazenby in, On Her Majesty's Secret Service. We didn't see Timothy Daltan marry. We saw George Lazenby. But because they are the same character, your mind suspends belief and you just accept that Timothy Daltan's 007 experienced that marriage. It is a bit tricky because each actor has their own spin on how they portray their 007 character. Anyway, after Timothy Daltan was Pierce Brosnan. Then Daniel Craig. The latest. I remember watching Casino Royale in the theaters. This is one of my favorite 007 Bond films. For sure. So, you chose well to start with this film. -OG

Yeah you’re right. There are so many which to choose from. The nice thing about James Bond Movies is they are a journey through time. There is the thematic aspect which all of us original Bond fans recognise. A thrilling intro, a beautiful First Lady (like yourself) and an entertaining and fanciful progression which so perfectly emphasises and the character of he time!… As far as old school bond I would imaging “A Man With The Golden Gun” would receive allot if votes. Thanks for the awesome reactions!

In the fight between the cobra vs the mongoose..the mongoose wins between 75% to 80% of the time..but not always..due to it's quickness, thick fur, and it's ability to withstand mild doses of venom..

I'm so happy to see more James Bond reactions on RU-vid lately and this was great. :) I loved the surprise when Vesper turned out to be a bad guy. It's definitely understandable to not react to every James Bond movie but I'd love to see a reaction to GoldenEye (1995).

Goldfinger, From Russia With Love, and You Only Live Twice are absolute classics. Personally, I loved For Your Eyes Only and Goldeneye, and most of the Daniel Craig films. But everyone has their own opinions.

Daniel Craig was one of many Star Wars fans willing to do an un-credited cameo in a Star Wars film. In SW ep.7 'The Force Awakens', he was the Storm Trooper that Rey practiced her Jedi mind trick on in order to escape the torture room. Roger Moore was James Bond when I grew up. He was the lighter, funnier, Bond and I found his movies so much fun to watch. I believe he started with LIVE AND LET DIE !1973), THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN (1974), my two favorite of all Bond films THE SPY WHO LOVED ME (1977), and MOONRAKER (1979) which starred one of the best villains of all time, the 7'2" tall Richard Kiel as 'Jaws'. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (1981) had one of the most entertaining car chases ever filmed and OCTOPUSSY (1983) had some amazing stunts. I believe that A VIEW TO A KILL (1985) I was Roger Moore's last stint as '007' and was filmed in San Francisco. He also had the coolest gadgets and cars, most famously the Lotus Esprit 'submarine' in THE SPY WHO LOVED ME.

If you want to check out older ones I recommend Goldeneye from 1995-a lot of people's first James Bond, also considered one of the best and well representative of the series as a whole. If you want to watch an older one, try On Her Majesty's Secret Service, arugably the best of the 60s Bonds and one Craig movies take a lot from. And maybe Moonraker or Die Another Day, which are NOT among the best, but are hilarious and absolutely worth seeing to know just how fucking BONKERS this series got (that Craig's take is contrasting).

My advice for someone new to Bond, is that you've started in a good spot. Previously Bond movies weren't really connected, apart from the odd part here and there, so there's no need to watch them all, or in order. You're not missing anything. The Daniel Craig era was the response to the Bourne movies. Bond was getting very stale, and Bourne injected a whole new action focus. The Daniel Craig era does carry a story over multiple movies, so it IS worth watching in order. It is worth watching some older Bond movies, because it defined the action / spy genre. If you want an oddball Bond movie, check out the original 1967 Casino Royale. Ian Fleming wrote Casino Royale as the first Bond novel, and sold the movie rights to a company who sat on them. He then wrote Dr No, and sold it to a different company. They cast Sean Connery, and started the whole Bond franchise with Dr No. The owners of Casino Royale wanted to cash in on their property, so they made the 1967 movie, but they only had the rights to the novel, not the interpretations of the characters etc. It fit's into that "it's so bad, it's good" category. Some 40 odd years later, the Official Bond franchise owners get the rights for the Casino Royale novel, and THIS is the result. Each Bond movie was a reflection of it's time, in how it treats women etc. It's a refection of the backdrop. Most of the 60's and 70's Bond movies had the Cold War as the backdrop. Some are more grounded and serious, some are sillier. Each new Bond actor was intended to be there for a number of movies. The one that didn't work out, was George Lazenby in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, who it was deemed that he was cast way above his ability, and only had one Bond movie. As to which Bond movies, I'd suggest a poll for your Patrons to get two of each Bond. Two Sean Connery's, two Roger Moore's etc. Make sure you do all the Daniel Craig's in order, because it's one connected story. Before that, think of Bond as a new story with the same characters, sometimes played by different actors. You'll get to know the recurring characters, like Felix Lighter of the CIA, as Bond's occasional ally, and "brother from across the pond". Dr No is the movie that started EVERYTHING. It was what set the tone for the franchise. Arguably, you need to watch Dr No, even it it's not one of your Sean Connery picks. They were also a reflection of what the public was used to too. Movies based on comic books with super villains were very campy, and OTT. I believe Iron Man was the first to go the more grounded and realistic route. Oh yeah, and if you haven't checked out the Bourne movies, you're missing out. They're AMAZING.

All the Bond movies are great in my opinion. The men that play Bond bring something different to each film the one thing that never changes no matter who the villain is that specter is always in control behind the scenes.

The chase scene starting from 6:23 ... that's parcour and is a real sport Pacour was founded by Raymond Belle, his son David Belle (who is Mainactor of the District B13 movies and the american reboot Brickmansion) and some others, including Sébastien Foucan, who playes the bad guy in this chase scene. Casino Royale made Parcour Mainstream/Popular for the world but in Europe, the two pacour action movies District B13 movies starring David Belle and Cyril Raffaelli were released some years earlier and made parcour popular before. The Daniel Craig Bond movies are the best ones for me and Daniel Craig is the best Bond actor for me too

Craigs Bond is not a bad choice to start with. Just be aware that the old Bonds are pretty different. They always followe the "Zeitgeist" to some degree, but with Craig they made a pretty big switch. It's a more serious and modern approach that probably makes it easier to get into the franchise. So you didn't really saw what the "classic"Bond trademark style really is. My recommendations to get the essence of all periods and actors would be "Goldfinger" + "From Russia With Love" (with Connery), "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (with Lazenby - a must see in the franchise for one reason I can't spoiler), "The Man With The Golden Gun" + "Moonraker" (with Moore), "Licence To Kill" (with Dalton) and "Goldeneye" with Brosnan.

Add in The Spy Who Loved Me as Moonraker has some continuity with it. And TSWLM has what is often voted as the greatest opening scene. It's also got a cool car. And watch OHMSS before No Time To Die

The Bond movies are usually divided up by actor, but each "era" also usually comes with its own tone and level, from light comedy through to serious grit. The Daniel Craig ones are as a whole probably the darkest and most earnest ones, then Timothy Dalton, Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, George Lazenby, and the Roger Moore movies of the 70s and early 80s were often bordering on ridiculous with how cheesy and clownish they were. My recommended choice from each actor's selection is thus: Connery - Goldfinger (1964), the archetype that introduced so much of the Bond formula for decades to come Lazenby - On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), his only Bond film Moore - The Man with the Golden Gun (1973), probably one of the weakest movies apart from Christopher Lee playing a fantastic villain, worth seeing for the sheer contrast Dalton - Licence to Kill (1989), the only one to receive a 15+ rating in the UK, very gritty and realistic Brosnan - GoldenEye (1995), which also inspired one of the greatest movie-to-videogame conversions of all time for the Nintendo 64 And you've just seen what would've been my recommendation for Craig. Hope you enjoy whichever ones are picked for you!

“Is the fastest human Usain Bolt??” We are talking about a truck full of gas going in reverse. Yes Bond could catch up to it. This film actually takes the time to consider what’s physically possible. Yes the action is exaggerated but compared to a John Wick or a fast and furious this is a documentary Trixie!

Honestly the only other DC Bond film i enjoy watching and know for a fact is worthwhile would be Skyfall. From Sean Connery to Pierce Brosnan there’s not many lousy movies within the 007 franchise but I’m sure that you’ll be able to appreciate and enjoy watching most if not some of these Bond movies. 🎬🎥👊🏻🔫
