I can understand what Cassie goes through, doesn't justify the horrible wrongs she did. But it's a product of a strong sense of abandonment from her father, the man that was supposed to protect her.

But it's not really true, is it? Cassie had friends before she started dating Nate - friends who saw her as funny, loyal, kind and caring. So she is very much able to break away from the "pretty blonde bombshell" stereotype, she just needs to be around the right people. With the right support, she can rely less on male validation. If Cassie was normal person and good sister, Lexie would not have reason to do this, she showed her reality check with this show and had full right to do it. Problem is in Cassie, with her brain, hooking up with you best friend abusive ex, humiliating and constant bodyshaming your sister, showing more love to friends and making Lexie being in shadow.. Cassie is a bad person, it has nothing with trauma. If you have insecurity problem go visit doctor or talk to your best friend, do not hook up with her abusive ex, or talk with your sister and not treat her like garbage.
