Very nice. I hear people all the time "my neck hurts", "my back hurts", etc. I always tell them the same thing: "What does a cat do as soon as it wakes up and about 20 times throughout the day"? A FULL BODY STRETCH! I'm glad that someone finally decided to mimic a cat, even if it's only stretching exercises. If this gets out in the world ALOT of people will be that much healthier. Good job.

My kinetic chains are EFF'd, sometimes on my 60in ball, I'll roll over straight on to my neck and brace my rear chains, and just let myself roll back, trying to put even pressure, and it helps: that reminded me of a video interview I saw a few years ago, and after half a dozen garbage "choreographed" Systema movement, I found THIS. SO jacked! Between this and Ido Portal's work, I'm excited.

Can this be done on hardwood floors or is some kind of padding necessary ?

I have tried many times on hardwood floor and doing it slowly with good breathing control will make the floor feel a comfortable place. It is ok for a place to practice. No padding necesary IMHO.
