Cat's FIRST SOLO | Best Reaction EVER 

After 36 years flying helicopters, watching Cat's flying skill and excitement, I just wanted to give her a job. What a refreshing video. Misha great job getting the best out of your students you need to be commended.

First solo is so hard to believe when you're first up there, and you look across at your instructor's empty seat.

"I think I was meant for this. It feels right. It feels so right". You can't beat that.

"Shouldn't I be scared?.. The Lord is helping me." lol

The fact that she had the situal awareness to fly and be super excited at the same time tell me she is going to make a great pilot , well done pilot yellow another egg has hatched

I must be an old softy. I got emotional seeing the pure joy and excitement Cat expressed. Soooooooo cute!!! Misha you are a fine instructor and human being as well! I love how calm and positive you are with your students even when correcting them. You indeed should be commended!!!Keeping students calm in situations that can be intimidating to them, and where panic and frustration can be deadly is an art. Now I must go dry my eyes.

Wow only 20 hours and she's doing that well. I don't know anything about flying a helicopter but that seems pretty good to me

Brilliant The worlds best felling i remember my first R22 solo the shock of lifting early being lighter and difference in hanging skid. It’s the best feeling I still remember it like it was yesterday when I first went solo in the cessna 172.

Will always remember my first solo (Cub) the instructor telling me now I want 3 touch and go but I will be watching from the ground and he walked out.

I’ve been watching Pilot Yellow for years. This solo was great. Can’t wait till I get to take more rotary lessons- hopefully with Mischa. . Don’t care for R22 nor Schweitzer. Love Cabri and R44. I think every pilot eventually has their, "yeah, this is what I'm meant to do" moment at some point in their training. Its so cool to be able see someone experience that moment. Mine was also on a river (also in an Orange Robinson), and my instructor and I helped rescue some people who beached their boat.

Congratulations Cat! Absolutely awesome!! I love these first solo videos. In this world, most of the folks I've flown with have been male but there have been some very competent ladies in the mix too and one thing I've noticed is that the women generally have a much gentler touch on the controls. In my case, I'm talking fixed wing aircraft but it was certainly my impression that Cat was really demonstrating that feminine "light touch" on the R44 too. It's something that's great in airplanes but I think it's in a helicopter that is really shows. Well done!
