Valencian sounds more influenced by Castillian than the others
@bipbup5175
@bipbup5175 11 месяцев назад
If you mean pronunciation-wise, no, it isn't influenced by Castillian at all, it's just that they lost the neutral vowel (schwa sound) whereas the eastern dialects retained it, being Balearic Catalan the one preserving stressed schwa, which doesn't occur in Central Catalan where unstressed A and E are pronounced as schwa. Alguerese is the only exception in eastern dialects as it doesn't have neutralization and turns all unstressed A and E into the sound of /a/

I don't understand why in the comparisons you use different expressions if most of these expressions in the 3 dialects are said the same, since they are synonymous in these 3 languages. I am Valencian and could say any text of the 3 dialects shown. it seems to try to make more differences than there are. on the other hand, why do you put graphic accent on "sèt" or "dèu"? @@SergiSetze I'm glad I'm not so far away from information, look, I studied with Valencianists, Catalanists and Majorcanists, they told me that the 3 variants are ancient in origin and all are adaptations of old Provencal and old Occitan in Spain, then they informed me of the dynasty of King Jaime and in Aragon and Valencia and Henrique in Catalonia, then the 3 languages begin to separate there by the European navigations in Asia, Africa and the Oceans etc, involving wars and piracy, but all form a subfamily with Occitan and form a diastema a dyssynchrony with the languages of oil such as gallo, parisino, norman, picardo etc. here too you are cursed by the ancients too. But you can see the common origin of both. The Catalan Aragonese is already influenced by both Roussilhones and Gascon and Aranes, at this point in time you are cursed by the ancients. Another thing that makes them sisters is that they all come from the vulgar Roman, Latin, Roman and Romanesque speech as well and also all have an undeniable Occitan and Provencal base. At this point we agree too. Bye Seitze I'll stick around thanks for the exchange of information. Out here in others topics of this vídeo ya said that are the same idiom, so its confirm that they have the same origin occitan provenzal and romanesque and latinory origins too. I'll stick with my sources, which are also serious and have no political agenda thank god and are from the old school of these languages. Take care, bye. 👍🍻👋👋👋👍👍🫂👋👋🌃🌇🥂🎉

For last the flag with yellow and red strypes, a blue triangle and a white star is not the flag for any dialect, is a political flag that represents the liberty of catalonia that we're searching for. Hi I am also a native Catalan speaker and I can assure the Catalan from Catalonia spoken on the video is based on the North-Western dialect (upnorth from Almatret village and roughly west from Solsona), which is not the standard used by institutions (based on the Central dialect historicaly spoken in and around Barcelona). It has nothing to do with time or an archaic form or Catalan. In fact, the North-Western is well alive and, if anything, it retains the historical pronounciation of atonal "a", "e" and "o" (as in Valencian) systematically transformed into neutral vowel and "u" in Central and North-Eastern dialects.

It leaves a bit to be desired to be honest with you, as both the Valencian and Majorcan use secessionist orthographies from blaverists (Real Acadèmia de la Cultura Valenciana) and gonellists respectively (Acadèmi de sa Llengo Baléà). When it comes to the Catalan speaker he might as well be someone from Barcelona, since Barcelona tends to do the neutral vowel more open due to influences from Spanish, the sound being closer as to how Brazilians pronounce unstressed a Edit: Nvm, the Catalan Speaker sounds like someone who speaks some Western dialect, that's what happens when I don't bother to watch the video xD
@TunahTak
@TunahTak 11 месяцев назад
@@bipbup5175 I found your placement and comparison interesting, the a e o e neutral in Catalan being the "a" and the "e", taking these same common sounds with Portuguese, whereas in the Portuguese view the a e o e is unstressed and weak and when accented and with the acute sign type á that is, that in the internal view of Portuguese it is a vowel with a weak sound, declined or not. I liked the comparison because it helps to understand in practice the way of the Latin languages. Thanks for the comparison and information, the exchange of data between us became more concrete.

Here you can read the truth about the catalan language invented at the beginnings of the 20th century and leaving behind the lemosine dialect which was used until then in Catalonia. Catalonia was founded in 1521 by Charles I. Valencia and Mallorca have been kingdoms with their own languages from the 13th century on. The valencian language was the first neo latin language with a golden century of literature (14th and 15th century) before french, spanish (castillian), etc. yosocche.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/ROMANIC-LINGUISTICS-NORMALIZATION-OF-THE-BARCELONI-DIALECT-AND-GESTATION-OF-CATALAN-FACTS-AND-DATES-19th-and-20th-centuries.pdf

V sound b or V ?
@TunahTak
@TunahTak 11 месяцев назад
Depends of romanic subfamily: If you talk about central iberic subfamily B and V its the same sound ex; andalucian, cantabric, leonese navarro. Still in Oc subfamily b and V sounds ARE distincted. This is eastern iberic family as catalan, valencian, balearic, aragonese. However in Western Iberic subfamily group Galaic group b and v are distincted too as in portuguese, galician,asturian, mirandese. Theses sounds are fixed and separated too similar with eastern Oc subfamily group.
@bipbup5175
@bipbup5175 11 месяцев назад
Depends on the dialect, all Balearic dialects do pronounce V as /v/, in Valencian southerm dialects and the dialect of La Plana Baixa and part of La Plana Alta retain this sound, in Alguerese they retained it as well and finally some old speakers from the area of Tarragona mantain it as well. The rest pronounce V as either /b/ or /β/ if it's in between vowels

Good video! According to the Valencians, Valencian is a separate language.
@bipbup5175
@bipbup5175 11 месяцев назад
That's according to language secessionist, of which the majority doesn't speak Valencian at all. Valencian is the traditional name for the language spoken in the Lands of Valencia and the southern municipalities of eastern Aragon, whereas Catalan is the glottonym for all of Catalonia (including El Rosselló in France), part of Aragon, L'Alguer (in Sardinia), and the Balearic Islands (albeit Majorcan is also a traditional name in that area). Valencian and Catalan and Majorcan are all part of the same language with different names depending on the region, which is fairly normal around the world. Also, I'm puzzled as to which criteria the language secessionists use to mark the limits between Valencian and Catalan, since linguistically speaking Valencian and Western Catalan share far more common evolutions than they do with their eastern counterparts, do they use political borders? Do they base it on the glottonym? Do they think nothern Valencian isn't actual Valencian (the dialects spoken north of La Plana Baixa) or do they view Tortosí as Valencian as well (which would include part of southern Catalonia)? Clearly, it shows they don't know much about Catalan-Valencian-Balearic linguistics
