Yea bro, those things get knackered by the wind… you need to sheild them… then they burn way hot… I normally just stand the case up mine came in to block the wind 🤘 cracking vid as always man 🤘🤘
Great video spending some relaxing time with your uncle.U can't get times like that back once they are gone. I think if u would get a board or something to block the wind that little burner wI'll be just fine.Great video I almost thought I was with ya'll.
A great fishing day for sure. The gentleman you were fishing with is cool. I love his LA accent. You have such a down to earth REAL channel. Keep ‘em coming.
I loved this episode especially when you're uncle Winnie caught two droms he didn't like that you laugh and so did i and he is a great cook too I see where you get it from 💯
Son! That looked fantastic. I have a couple outdoor burners and I believe they run around 7000 btu's. I have a larger model that runs about 11000. The upside is that i t is the size of a standard burner, the downside is ANY breeze will knock the heat level down significantly. That case could be opened as a book on an edge and act as a perfect windscreen, but I've learned cooking outdoors needs a windscreen unless it is absolutely dead calm. The second thing I learned was about the differences between butane and propane. Up here in Minnesota, butane is either indoors or for the summer only. You guys were on the cold side and that will affect butane. Propane, what we use up here, will not gasify below -40 f. I had that happen once out ice fishing. Butane stops gasifying at 32 f. Even at 40-50 I notice a difference. When it's cold, propane is the better bet. When it's windy, a windscreen is a must. Hope this helps, and your channel is currently my favorite fishing channel! We catch the "croakers" (sheepshead) up here as well, but those were pigs!
Yo brah.. I can tell ya them little stoves are awesome not in the wind..I worked as a catering chef for many years in New Orleans..(I do pluming now) still live in Metairie..did a whole lot of fishing out Hopedale, Slidell, and Grand Isle..now I do most of it out of Venice..but anyway them stove are great but it sucks in a high wind like that even if the flame is there the pan will continually cool due to it and the heat isn’t focused….i miss Chefing but then again I don’t miss the schedule I’d rather construction..love the vids brah maybe see ya ont the bayou one day.
I miss Louisiana! Those little camp stoves are great but highly susceptible to variations in pressure from the fuel cans. Colder ambient air equals lower fuel pressure... equals smaller flame. Also if the fuel can is near empty the flame will be smaller
is this the st bernard pier? I have to get back to fishing. I gave up for a while. I wish I could catch you out there . Im sure you could help me break my fishing jinx
What’s happening Jared? Been a long time since I’ve commented but I watch and like everyone of em. Hopefully this catches up well. The rabbit video was so badass by the way. Ur buddy in Texas.
Jared, I am a fan ( love the channel ) and I love how you promote Da Parish and outdoors, but the tomatoes don't belong in the gumbo...lol. All kidding aside, keep moving forward and God bless from the Sheik of Arabi and family.
We have a 2 burner st0ve like that and for a hurricane we fried pork chops and beans out the freezer the key is the wind with no wind its like a house stove
You need a wind block something like what the colman stove has as a wind block then your flame would be better and much hotter just a suggestion. Larry
I am a caterer and must cook outdoors often there are times when the wind forces me to find any box , pull it apart at the glued seem and make a "U" shape around my cookers , blocking the wind and giving me access
