This is gold, I fish off a yak, and wanted me a lil 16' jon boat for inland and the gl. The winds typically dictate when its safe to be out on a small watercraft. West winds is ideal , but pretty much spring and fall os good year round depending on bug hatches, water temp, spawn.

nice ..ive never caught anything out of lake Ontario never really tried tbh but nice to see theres some decent fish there.. one day id like to try but i jus thave a small boat like this and i dont want to go far out to get them as the great lakes can change in a hurry and if your ein a dinky boat like this odds are youre going under.. these boats are too small to be out in the middle of these lakes the waves get huge 10 feet high or more sometimes.ina bay or close to shore its nice ot know you can catch them there maybe ill try one day

It's just like that on my little 14.5' except i have 12 rod holders(🤣), a fish hawk x2, and one rigger. I hope i can get myself i to some of that king chaos soon.

I went out on big O last year in my 16.5 alumacraft and as soon as I cleared the breakwater I was almost swamped lol. Had to turn right back around. Scariest time I’ve ever had in the boat and I’ve had it in the pacific fishing for salmon.

I fished with my Partner for years in a 16 foot tinny, even out on the Big Lake O, we watched the weather like a HAWK. Only once did we start out and turned back after 100 yds and back to the launch ramp. We were VERY careful. Thanks Dan
