The measuring 60 bores video came up as suggested. At first I thought it was this second sixty. Look forward to seeing the internal working of a sixty engine. Have not found any rebuild videos of a sixty. Plenty of videos showing running a sixty. Really look forward to this series.

Nice work with the teardown Nathan 🙂👍 That manifold looks like it's still in great shape ! Hopefully the bottom end of the engine checks out. Always a shame when water makes it's way into an engine. Keep at it and happy wrenching! 🔧🔩

It's hard to comprehend the age of this old machine and how long ago she was made. At least the emission junk or electronics won't hinder you. The mag looks in decent condition, do you know when it last ran? Love the shop, great video, thanks Nathan.

Yes sir the only electronics are the magneto, so as long as that’s working there’s nothing to worry about! Thanks for watching Ray

It looks as though someone modified the cooling system to have two separate upper water manifolds, one for #1&2 and one for #3&4.

Not sure what else I can do, I’ve added an external mic, more rigid camera mounts, I dunno man! Keep in mind I’m in a big tin box of a shop and it’s very echo’d inside.

As a mechanic for 50 years I find it difficult to understand why so many of you have such an aversion to penetrating oil. I use that stuff like it’s going out of style and it’s saved a lot of hard-to-replace fasteners. But each to their own. You can have 10 mechanics, all doing the same job, and you’ll have 10 different ways to accomplish it. And they’re ALL correct. But I’ll use the weasel pee…
@ironman3406
@ironman3406 Год назад
Hi there George - first thanks for watching sir. If you watch through the rest of the series you’ll see I use both a combo of oil and penetrating oil - the jab at my buddy was just an inside joke but I do use it lots of places in this build. Thanks again for watching
