Seasoning for the cauliflower:
1/4 cup olive oil
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves minced
1 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp chili powder. I used gochujang
1/2 tsp black pepper
I pre-heated the bbq at medium heat (350-375F) to cook the cauiflower steak for 5 minutes per side. Watch so you don't over char them.
You could also roast them in the oven. I never have luck with that so I can't advise you there...
The sweet bell peppers were just sliced and sprayed with Pam spray. I cooked them on the bbq in the metal basket made for the grill and moved them around occasionally so they didn't burn. I cooked them the same amount of time as the cauliflower.
I reallly didn't expect the positive reviews this meal earned from my family, especially my hubby who tolerates veggies.. So I encourage you to give it a try.
I know the addition of beef steak may throw people off but it was a real hit!
