My Sadowsky through the Caveman.
This is the best DI imho.
It makes the best come out of your bass, especially in the low end.
Listen on headphones please.
No EQ. (except a slight high boost on the bass itself, low at zero)
Some improvising on a song a student came along with.

How do you like the Sadowsky products? As "high-end" as they are, I don't see a ton of people "outwardly" using them. I really love your playing and I can see why you've played with some of the great around the world.

Thank you very much! Sadowskys are very consistent and sit great in a mix. I prefer NYC. The Japanese ones are great too. For a beginner the Chinese are great.

Great bass playing, very tasteful and, above all, the bass sounds like a bass: super round, warm and fat. Thumps up for Rogier van Wegberg

Inspirational as ever! Caveman sounds great, more saturation than my Noble. I'm curious how you remove the original bass - is it just EQ? Just mid channel, dynamic eq to leave the kick in?
@Roogbass
@Roogbass Год назад
Hi Mike, thanks! The Caveman is amazing! I use Izotope RX9 to remove the original bass. Separate tracks, export, Logic Pro.

Love it. Great playing. What is your blend setting on the pickups? 50/50 or do you favor the neck pickup?

Thanks! In this case 50/50. But I also love 60/40 and vice versa. Really great this bass.

@@Roogbass Thanks. What is the Shadowsky model? And do you use Skar Bass One with the BP1, or is it not needed with the BP1 ? Thanks.
@Roogbass
@Roogbass Год назад
@@btn006 it’s a NYC Verdine White. I wanted to demonstrate the quality of the BP1. As EQ, Comp and overdrive I would use the Skarbass. I saw that Caveman has a compressor in the making, curious 😊
