I prefer the warmer sound of the 60's model, although the drier sound of the 70's works great as well .. biggest highlight I would say is the awesome bass player, I suspect any bass will sound incredible in those hands!
Your parts are always so fantastic! I also love contemporary pop songs, btw! The best part is that so many of them don't really have strong bass lines, so you're free to compose your own.
I'm usually not a big fan of PJ basses but this particular one I like a lot. Probably because who's playing it LOL. How do you have the pickup blend set? Is the bass active?
I always had the same feeling. But this one is so great in context. It’s active indeed. I only boosted the low end a tiny bit. Dimmed the vtc. 60/40 bridge neck.
Great playing! On jazz bass, bridge pickup with tone rolled all the way off? Man where can I get tabs for these bass parts. Wanna learn them… inspiring!
I love your tone...I realize it's not all the gear and it IS mostly your brain and fingers...but is there a Kemper Player for bass? Maybe I'm blind, but I haven't seen anything but a Kemper Profiler.
A profiler is just a ‘vessel’ for profiles. You can download a lot for free. Also for bass. SVT, B15, Eden, Noble etc etc. And then you can tweak to your liking.
Dankjewel.
In 1977, two years after this songs release i 1975, a group of people named their band Skunk Funk. Here is a song, Boogie Woogie, from their second album. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mPEed5cvTbE.htmlsi=tzZQyhe7qYG_zrSK
