I've always loved Doug Clifford because his parts are memorable and not overly busy. I love humble drummers like him. Thank you for making a video about him!
I like how Cobb gives drummers who weren't always big chops guys but feel and groove guys equal coverage. I sometimes think drummers who put out these videos get too caught up on chops and focus on chops that might never be used ( or wanted by their band mates) in many situations. I think learning to be a simple supportive player, no matter what level you are, is more important than the big fill, especially if it's put in a song that doesn't need it.
CCR. Every album was great. Born on the bayou. What a classic and timeless song with great feel. I grew up listening to creedence. I'm mid 50s,and they've always been one of my favorite bands. I've come to realize Doug is one of my big influences and favorite drummers. Nice to see someone pay tribute !
