Pseudoregalia is a cool 3D platformer with tons upon tons of neat movement mechanics! In case you'd ever want to try a fun, fast, innovative 3D platformer.
speaking of fun, fast, maaaaybe innovative (its prequel basically invented a crucial speedrun strat featured in sonic frontiers), spark the electric jester 3, emphasis on fast as you'll see, if not know, highly recommend playing spark 1 and 2 first if you want to understand... fucking anything about the story really they're also great games, spark 1 is the better game overall due to its polish over spark 2 due to lake having experience with making 2d sonic fangames prior to spark 1, and spark 2 being his first 3d platformer, though the latter is a bit more vital to the story
Fun fact: I got celeste for free because a GameStop employee turned my 5 dollar monthly membership reward into a eshop card and celeste was discounted to be exactly 5 bucks plus the gold reward points I had. Best coincidence and purchase of my LIFE
The bubbles make me happy. If I remember correctly, the Celeste devs did a stream where they played SJ, they encounter the bubble return berries and said something along the lines of "why didn't we think of that?" So, that's cute to see implemented here.
@@Flembons they weren't invented by sj and base-game does have keys with bubble returns (chapter 9), but yeah. Also, I like how the cassette rooms here use the loading screen from celeste as their backgrounds. that's also really cute.
oh hey i didnt know this came out!!! this is super cool thanks for covering it :D also for a sec i thought i knew you and then i remembered Oh inscryption arg coverer! so. yeah cool!
I would love if they made a full unique 3d platformer. There really aren’t enough solid 3d platformers, mario odyssey, bowsers fury, and even the older Mario 3D games are so absurdly good feeling and well designed, it’s super hard to make a 3d platformer that can compete in that space.
Nice Vid! A little bird told me that Vista World is an interesting 3D Platformer with some sick movement that you may enjoy. The little bird continued to explain that you can Playtest on Steam, and that a major update is right around the corner!
Saw someone recommended Pseudoregalia, and the movement tech is definitely there, but the look and feel of this game screamed Toree 3D, Toree 2, and Lunistice to me!
While not necessarily a 3D platformer, Sunset Overdrive has very simple movement mechanics that can combo along with the combat that makes for a very fun experience
A Hat in Time is a good game with fun mechanics and storyline, basically one part is you get hats from collecting yarn, and theres a total of 6 hats, each with special abilities. In one act theres two different storylines, but hey, who am i to spoil? Point is, its a fun game and is available on pc, xbox, nintendo, basically modern gaming items. But i shouldnt get on a ranting spree, but 1 mkre thing, i suggest getting the 2 DLCs. Thats just my recommendation though.
"..more 3d platformer games?" A Hat In Time is literally this! Very momentum-focused with great controls! Demon Turf is okay too, but that one is less responsive in my opinion..
The game Tinykin has really fun platforming, collection, and moment. If you enjoy this you’d love Tinykin. This was a fun vid for sure. I don’t know if you stream or if you’re just talking to yourself (all I do is talk to myself when I play games), but it’s nice how casual this feels. Just jumping up cool stuff while thinking out loud. I love it. Cheers.
21:20 this seems like a bug. Basically while climbing there your character just vomoletely ignored the velocity it should have gotten from the platform, and instead just moved by absolute velocities instead of relative velocities.
3D platform with very agility based movement stuff.. i heard from nitro rad that demon turf is really good the main character is in 2D but the game is full 3D
The game i recomm3nd isnt ne necessarily a platformer and im new to your channel so you might have played it but i think you should play ULTRAKILL perhaps. You cah go fast and the more you can keep up with the games stuff the faster you go and ther3s more than movement to love.
