Great video of the mill area. Fox are cute but a pest on a homestead. Beautiful roses. I enjoy the scenery when you are driving through the country.

I was wondering about relocating the fox. But, I'm not there, and you guys are, so you'll handle it. The mill is gorgeous, as is the property, with all that water! And, WOW, those roses! 🌹❤

How lovely to see yours friend’s property. So much different to your own. Very beautiful around all the water. Pity about the fox, but it is what it is, it’s the chickens or the fox. Foxes whilst quite cute to watch and see them play are, at the end of the day vermin. You are between a rock and a hard place! You are never going to please all the people whatever you do, but I’m with you the fox has to go! ❤

Hi. I don’t know what the Portuguese Laws are Regarding Shotguns , I think that they have a test to pass before Permission is granted for a License But My wife and I Owned a Poultry Farm for 12 Yrs and when the foxes Know there are Poultry on land in their Domain it is Almost Impossible to Discourage them, our farm had 6 ft Weld-mesh Fencing all around the Perimeter of the Housing, Covering approx 2000m2 each of the 3 Pens and the Foxes Ran up and over them as if they were Not There, in Short I had to Shoot 4 In No Before they Realised if they entered our Land they DID NOT LEAVE ALIVE. With so much water tell him to do 1" ram pumps with fire extinguisher bottles they can raise the water 1 part and 9 in the flow that he can make a dam and second Ramp Pump and the next dam a solar panel with a pump to raise water to first stage

Amo vê vocês nessa troca de trabalho entre vizinhos. Coisa que não se vê nas cidades. Vida no campo é mais saudável e humana. Quanto a raposa, não sei como funciona aí em Portugal, mas aqui no meu país, ligariamos para a polícia ambiental e eles removia o animal para uma área de preservação ambiental. Ansiosa pelo próximo vídeo. ❤❤

Number 1 rule of fox behavior: they never give up. never. They're smart and know where to find chickens. Either you enclose the chickens with a perfect enclosure or ? I wish you good luck 🤞

What you need for the fox problem is a farm dog. eliminate a fox and another will appear to occupy the free territory and then a genet or any other predator. There are many Portuguese dog breeds that do this job well. Rafeiro do Alentejo, cão serra da estrela ou cão de gado transmontano are some of the farm protective dog breeds.

yes we think so too and A wanted puppy from the start but I think you need to have facilities and time to train and take care of dog.. and unfortunately at this minute we don't have that ... Hopefully Autumn we will be more flexible and then we can get a new family member :) for now we will have to look after chickens ... which we do

Asbestos tank, that is poison, hope he is not using that dangerous to lungs etc. not being mean but we don’t use that here in us anymore, causes cancer. The flowers were beautiful & so sorry about chickens hope you can get rid of the fox looking forward to your next video

Your friends with the river do they use the mill for power? I bought a property in Central that has a river I want to use the river for power. I have yet to investigate what that entails. Thanx for sharing your day. Great things happening at your place. Gina in Upstate NY USA moving to Portugal

People lived here before and they left the houses so then nature came closer now people coming back to ruins to rebuild them and live there ... People killing people so this is a crime but no one does anything about it

a fox normally hunts during the night. So soon you'll have multiple foxes.. shes got cubs. How much did your friend pay for that old watermill property?

That's what we thought that she hunts at night b ut she does it in the morning and during the day .. ;) They bought it 15 years ago and paid less than 100k

we didn't done anything .. to the fox ... we kept our chickens in they encloser day time and I let them our for hour morning and afternoon to walk ... didn't seen fox for a week now
