Hi, I have one question what is the need for impact and urgency while I have risk assessment in place? We can cover impact and urgency within the risk assessment questions, and what is the role of CMDB here
Hi Mate, I come to 2nd point first, CMDB is key here or I can say CMDB is the heart of the change. CMDB (CI) will tell you where this change is going to impact by using a dependency map in CI. Also, CI tell, which component of infra is getting changed impacted or affected. Ex: It is like, you call a mechanic and say, I want to change this, but if you did not tell me what is that thing then the mechanic can help you or guide you. The same is the case with CMDB. Now 1st part, Impact and Urgency - If you do some work inn a hurried way, the chance it can go wrong or you miss out on the steps. Impact is, if I make a change will it / how it impact. Ex: You can do painting in your house but you know if you paint during kids' exam days it will impact their studies and also it is urgent to do or you can wait. I hope this clears the doubt.
I've followed the same process as you suggested but Risk assessment is not giving accurate value.. as per thresold it set moderate but it was setting high and also parallely to the risk assessment, risk condition is also working..how to exclude risk conditions?
Practically you need to Customization, bcz for impact we don't have same functionality... you need to create ui page n use that answers to Populate impact value.
@@LearnNGrowTogetherwithAtulG thanks for your reply , my client want to do risk assessment on problem as well. So that means it's not possible OOTB right? Do you think it will be a custom solution? We would need to customise problem form fields as well right?
Hi Mate, No, OOTB there is no way? and I don't think it is a good use case, risk assess changed already and based on that you can see the risk and add it to the RAID log.
