so pretty much making every car with a dry sump, but my question is... what about the dirty oil thats still in the motor? you switch out the old cartage you still are left with a bit of dirty oil in the motor
Really? double gasket way to many times? That just tells me that your not paying attention to what you are doing. Don't you check the filter surface every time you remove a filter? Not something I'd admit to on youtube ;) I can recall being caught once or twice, but from then on it was religious that I check and wipe clean and inspect the gasket surface. Back in the '70's when I was an apprentice I did get caught a few time with leaks from those old steel canister style filters on english cars but not with spin ons.
+Jake Blues I throw those in there to get people upset and start conversations - LOL... Thanks for commenting, it worked. But in all honestly I worked at an oil change shop in high school and double gasketed two time in one day.. Ha, learned my lesson and now its like religion to check twice.
