The part of the C5's manual for changing the side lamps is pitifully non-descriptive. So, here I do just that, swapping out a defective bulb and a working halogen one for some LEDs I had lying around.
Wow, pretty helpful video. In my citroen C5 3.0 HDI the arrangement of lights is the same. Yesterday I've changed the D1S xenon lamp. It has to pull back from backside. Under the rear black cover. And I also have to change and the lamp of the "angel" ring (I don't know exact name of the lamp). I tried unsuccessfully to pull back the other connector next to cover, but now I see what have to do instead to reach it. Have to remove top cover. Thanks for the video.
Economy Mode - Check your alternator(most likely fine), which means it's possibly a dying battery, so check the battery. If not that, then it's the Battery Charge Estimation Board - BECB (black box on negative terminal of battery). You can replace it or using dealer diagnostics software (on pugs it's lexia, on cit it's proxia?), you can change the battery charge estimation from the black box to the BSI which isn't as accurate. HOWEVER, your engine should only be charging the battery when you are coasting, foot off the pedal type situations. So in your case, I would replace the BECB!
I've got the same car, I replaced my high level rear light (clear casing) still does not work, I think the wiring is off. With it being white I presume it is a reversing light but couldn't see it at all pictures in the manual, any ideas?
