you get iridium if your dont wanna change your plugs for the next 120k miles, double platinum for 100k, and copper for 30k. make sure to not add antiseize on nickel based threads because they are designed to prevent seize. lastly, add new dielectric grease between the coil connnector and plugs if its looking dry.
Obviously not related to the plug change. Just a bonus knowledge nugget. You either didn't get that or don't realize there may come a time you would need to know that
I think for the 2014 you are supposed to use the 5ci plugs. The ngk site says OEM is the iridium plug not the base copper plug. They changed to the iridium for 2014 and up. They call them the 100000 mile plug. The base copper is short life and is only listed for the 2013 and older.
Hemis are picky put iridium in my old 06 instead of the copper core and within 1,000 miles I had miss fires like crazy I check everything over codes kept throwing ect I eventually went back to copper core never had a problem and put over 300k on that bad boy
I changed them around 90k. I installed copper plugs as I got them cheap from a co-worker who traded his car before he needed them. 113k so far and no issues. Bosch 9673 Iridium is closest to OEM plugs. I'll most likely use those the next time I change them. Thanks!
If it's like a P0300 random misfire code, I would suggest getting good NGK plugs at least or the factory recommended ones. The computers in these things can be rather finicky.
If they really feel stuck, I'd squirt a little PB Blaster in the holes and let it cook for a few days driving. Then I'd try to find a small impact driver to try to remove them. I've seen that work for 5.4L 3V Ford plugs so it should work for these.
