Yeah it's a cycle that you can not even realize you are trapped in. When I realized it still took me a long time to break out and I'm glad for it now. I don't regret my time spent playing gachas but I just know that's not the style of game I want to play anymore.

I appreciate the advice NabaniSaa, I've thought about short form content, and even a 5 minute video seems more doable for me, as long as I can pack in some useful info. I'll definitely be considering that moving forward!

Hey Nate, I do have some tips for you! Quit slow, dont try to do it all at once. For example, I just started by spending less time in WOTV. Then at a certain point I tried a one week break. My guild didnt miss me because of the proxy system and I was able to live life without a gacha to see what that was like. When I returned to the game, I didn't play for long before quitting for real. I think taking a break as a trial is easier than quitting since you know you're coming back. But it will make it easier to leave long term. Make sure you have a plan for your new found time! And when you do quit, uninstall the games and bluestacks or whatever programs you're using. Also remember if you're nervous about taking a break, you're account won't get any worse, it just won't get better for a week. Everything you had will be waiting for you when you return.

Definitely not coming back for lame dupe units that we already have. Boring!

I know... it's not been ideal. I don't want to just go dark and not share anything with people. But I did turn off monetization for this video, not looking to make ad revenue without actually putting out content. I can't believe the amount of disruptions I've had this year. Here's hoping it's the last one (knock on wood)

@@mysidia Thank you. Definitely very much consider walking away with 3 concussions in a year - it’s just not worth it. With Chronic traumatic encephalopathy being a thing, you want to protect your brain as much as possible. As you already know, athletes who continue to play sports after concussions risk repeat injuries, more serious complications, and a longer recovery time.

c0ym0nty! Great to hear from you. That's interesting that you are learning higher level chess. A lot of my students play chess now, it became more popular after the queens gambit came out (can't believe my students watch that hahah).
