I watched this at least a dozen times now; it's one of those times where even being there, it feels profound to watch weeks later. You did a great,...an amazing job at capturing the spirit of the day. As I stated, "anarchy always rules", and I don't mean it in the manner that is always misinterpreted by people using the word wrong maliciously, I mean it in the manner of a collective group of individuals who understand that they are accountable for themselves, their behavior, their willingness to put themselves in danger, adrenaline spiking excitement, joy and tears. Their understanding that this celebration of a human spirit that embodies the borough of Brooklyn without the need of authorities instructions or social pressures. Nothing inspires my builds more than my trip to the Block Party every year. One simply doesn't leave the Miami Valley and cross the Appalachians into the Boroughs without adventures and those adventures motivate my builds, aside from my needs to commute efficiently. This year the streets of the Lower East Side were tore up, one almost needed an adventure bike, and the Ubereat scooters going the wrong way down streets in hoards, tourist on City bikes and traffic seemed worse than ever and I struggled with my Barge of a motorcycle, my shoulders got a work out and I had to rethink my luggage situation and next year's trip...and now my commute involves high speed critical traffic and old city urban situations, the Block Party trip motivated me to make some trim the fat changes I didn't anticipate. I still swear by the Factory rain suits, however, which I used almost all the way back to the I.D.M. compound. Next year? Oof, everyone noticed the high end condominium being built shadowing the event, Silicon Valley has invaded the neighborhood and it probably spells doom for that location...I'm hoping Bobby will continue the Harvest festival forever, but I'll understand if he settles out on the prairie. I appreciate the good times we've had.
Watched about three channels on this event, yours is the best my friend, never met Indian Larry, I remember back in the day when he was featured a lot in The Horse magazine, the bike build offs with Billy Lane and Paul Cox doing the leather work, this guys were artists in the strict sense, Indian Larry made his bike mechanical looking, the external oil filter etc. when at that time other builders started to hide nuts and bolts with stupid add ons , anyway glad this event is happening , long way from Hawaii but not impossible, Thanks again !!!
Means a lot Billy thank you man!! His legacy and philosophy on how to build a proper bike still lives on, and it's an honor to take part in days like this one - Come on thru for the next one!
How’s bro gonna fire shots at the purple motorcycles. The dudes riding them are savages. That’s a stock Harley color and honestly they look 🔥. I’d love to find a nice concord purple fxdx right now!
Man... That's wild. I have goosebumps. I'm 36. Lived bikes my whole life. When I was 20 I almost bought a CBR600. Chose not to because I knew who I was and I didn't want to kill myself. Fast forward to 6 years ago, my best friend died on a gsxr600. I have goosebumps because of New York. I am Florida Man. But I've been in love with NY since I was a kid. My wife brought me there for my first time about 10 years ago. I never knew of the block parties until abput two years ago. I've always said I belong in NY. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT! I love it. I have still never bought my own bike but really thinking about it hard the past year. I'm hopefully going to grab one soon. I honestly ONLY want the ST. I've done the research.... I've watched your RU-vid videos, I mean lol. The battery placement seems to be an issue but idgaf. I have to go to at least one block party. We don't know each other, but I hope to see you at the next one. Well, your helmet lol. L8R G8R.
That's what is up man! It's definitely worth making the trip, only about 1000 miles for you - The ST is handsdown one of my favorite bikes to ride out of my lineup, I don't think you'll be disapointed 🏁⚡️
Not to mention, making me the thumbnail and somehow, making me look Kool? You, Sab and Dad,are some of the best people who ever walked this earth 🌎 Love you mofos!
One has an X-Games gold medal, one was a Honda factory supercross racer, and one is an engineer that makes aftermarket parts for Harley Davidsons. Ide say they are pretty badass in my book.
I gotta say, I walked up to them and didn't introduce myself as FXDLSBK or a content creator (not that I'm anybody), but anyway, to them I was just a random dude, and I have to say, I appreciated that they actually stopped and had authentic conversation with me regardless of who I was all the while trying to shoot content. They have my respect
