Chapter 15 : A Reason to Fight - Showdown with the Valkyria mission with an A-Rank in 1 turn.
This mission is quite harder than the previous one. It takes a lot of precision, especially near the end.
=====SET-UP=====
Your objective is the take out Crymaria (the Valkyria) that's in the middle of the map. There are a few specific weapons you'll need to complete this efficiently. First, make sure Kai has the LF-ASR (the sniper that shoots 3 shots instead of 1). This is very important at the beginning of the match. Next, make sure Riley has the Elias MA6 (or a weapon that has a decent amount of range and good damage to vs Armor).
As for your unit placement, you'll be taking 5 characters in your Cactus. Make sure you equip the correct tank parts so it can hold that many people. Make sure the following units are either on the right side or the middle: Raz, Minerva, Riley, a lancer, and another shock. These will be the 5 characters the Cactus takes. Make sure Kai is on the left side.
=====TURN 1=====
Start off by using Kai and sniper Crymaria's little crystal thing. This will enable you to get up close to her and do some damage. I'd recommend saving here to make sure you can come back to this point. I'll be noting places to save throughout this walkthrough.
Next, use the Cactus and get your five units. Drive east near the shock behind the sandbag that starts to go uphill where the grenadier is. Take this shock out with the Cactus gun. SAVE
Deploy your lancer and take out the machine gunner north east of the Cactus position. Deploy your scout next and take out the grenadier that's up the hill from the Cactus. Run the scout back down and head north past the sandbag by the scout, but before the base. Use Riley to take out the machine gunner even further ahead past the base with the sniper. Use Raz to take out the sniper in the base and capture the point. Use the other shock to go to Minerva (or the command scout) and heal her. Then continue forward near the capture point of the base. SAVE
Use Minerva to command the two shocks ahead of you. Head north, west, then south-west toward the small path leading to Crymaria. This is the tricky part. There are a few things that can happen here. One: Minerva will fall and you can either shoot the enemy blocking the path or inspire, Two: Minerva will survive and you can just shoot the enemy, Three: Minerva will just fall and there won't be any option after. To me, the best case is for her to fall and to inspire one of the shocks. This will increase they're morale and therefore give one of them a better chance at a double attack. You can load cycle to try and get whichever you want to do.
Use a shock and continue towards the Valkyria. Right before you get to her, use the Penetration Order to ignore Crymaria's defense. SAVE TO ANOTHER SLOT
This is another tricky part. Getting headshots on Crymaria is kinda hard. You have to anticipate her head going up or down into the reticle. This is where double attack or Vancey's Former Elite potential comes into play. It gives her a bit more power to take Crymaria out with ease. Otherwise, you can just try and shooting Crymaria with the 4 turns you have left.
