I prefer my booth guys at the track and not in a studio. I am not a fan of remote locations its not 2020 anymore show up at the track full-time please.
It is behind because at track its live but goofey broadcast is several seconds behind ever listen to radio and watch T.V radio is bout 8 to 10sec ahead T.V does that case they got to cut or edit stuff out I agree with you 💯 percent
@@MichaelWilliams-vb6wrand if you stream their stream then you are even further behind. Sometimes I have cable and Roku on the same channel and cable is ahead of Roku by 20ish seconds.
They even do it for some of the late night west coast football games. Having watched the truck series do it for years, it was pretty easy to tell even a football game being called “remotely”
I agree... but opinions like that leave Nascar where it is. If they just randomly made everyone commentate from the booth you wouldnt even know it. It would allow better commentators so im for it, but for some reason yall like Steve Leretard and Dale Jr so ehh idk maybe yall just like mediocrity.
I couldn't agree more. The move to the CW was a HUGE MISTAKE in my opinion. When you can't make out what the car numbers are or read the position of the cars on the run down, it is beyond terrible. Whoever made this decision should be fired immediately. But I guess it works well with all the other foolishness NASCAR is doing. I have called the local station that carries the CW for the last three weeks asking why in this day and time is the picture on their s channel so bad. The answer is always " we'll look into it". Well I'm sure it will be just as bad this week as it has been the last three weeks. There is NO reason that it should be this way. NASCAR you have failed again, I guess you really don't want race fans to watch your broadcast. I am glad some of the fans receive good coverage, just wish we did here. Blessings to all the fans, drivers and teams🙏✝️🙏
The first race weekend the CW didn't broadcast the race until the middle of the night here. Last weekend They had to move it over to another channel so they could show a soccer game. When the race started there was no sound, after 5 to 10 laps the sound of the cars came on, but no announcers until the third stage.
I haven't been able to watch an Xfinity race since they switched. It is my favorite series. Instead of waiting for the full recording to come out on the cw app, I just watch the highlights.
The only place it's acceptable is TexARSE, the worst track on the schedule, as payback for taking away North Wilkesboro, Rockingham, and now Auto Club from the schedule. The racing sucks after 28 years
Here in my area, the Xfinity race last week was littered with technical glitches and it wasn't until the cup race on NBC, when I realized that the broadcast was not in HD. It felt like I was watching a 20 year old recording. And even that's an insult to the people who do their best to upload older races in high quality.
@@spheredhawk67 for me in the Dayton area, both CW and NBC are in HD. Unfortunately, both channels during both races kept breaking up off and on the entire broadcast and it was super annoying. I found out today that both channels are ran by the same company in my area too
Here in Pennsylvania, I experienced the same results last weekend. The picture would cut out here and there like it was being recorded on a VHS tape. Bad quality overall..
I have internet (not cable TV) and use Sling Tv over the internet to watch TV programing - I am unable to see "The CW" live during the race. Sad situation.
Your not missing much the radio is better I listen to radio and mute the T.V but radio is ahead and I'm like thought he spun out then the car starts spinning 😂😂 the radio is several seconds ahead kind of gets confused with this severely ADHD individual
@@lpmv2407 my affiliate had it on. I was saying the week before at Kansas, some people said their local CW was airing football instead. But even that week my Dayton CW had the race on. Mine has had every race so far
@@joshlampman8717doesn’t work everywhere that easy. My antenna only gets ABC, Fox and CBS if the wind is blowing the right direction it seems. It’s not reliable. No CBS and no CW. Luckily my satellite provider had CW but definitely doesn’t work on an antenna and I have a roof mounted powered antenna.
CW has a bunch of affiliates around the country that broadcast in different quality. Some as high as 1080i, some as low as 480i. You can look up your local affiliate and see what they broadcast at. All around, its a mess.
My affiliate is also at 480 so they can have the bandwidth to have 6 other subchannels. Wish CW could somehow leverage these affiliates to broadcast their channel at least in 720p now that they are investing in sports...though only seeing that happening with the new ASTC standard but who knows when it even makes it over to my rural market
I see a lot of people saying they can’t watch xfinity anymore due to not having cable. I’m in Australia and DD12 works perfectly to watch the trucks, xfinity & cup races
I had several political ads on Philadelphia's WPHL. Note, PA is the ultimate battleground state for both the president (Don vs. Harris), VP (Vance vs. Walz), and Senate (Casey, Newlin, McCormick, Wild, etc..) races.
I had trouble with CW on the original race because CW’s website listed the wrong channel for my city. I couldn’t find it on my tv until I typed in the channel manually.
Blame the network heads who are too greedy to buy ATSC-3 equipment (needed to go full 1080p), NBC only goes to 1080i and Fox is stuck in 2007 with 720p
All of the issues that Eric mentioned regarding the CW is the main reason why Indycar did not do a deal with them & did a deal with Fox instead. Indycar also didn't do a deal with the CW because the CW wanted total control of the production as opposed to Fox which is letting IMS Productions run the production side of things while they provide the announcers & camera crews. As for the trend of having races called from a studio, it is something that is happening more & more frequently with even Sky Sports F1 starting to do it for the final couple of F1 races this year which may affect the quality of the broadcasts on ESPN given the fact that ESPN uses Sky Sports F1 for virtually every aspect of their F1 coverage as opposed to sending their own camera crews & announcers to every race.
The CW doesn’t know what they are doing! I like the way it is on broadcasting Nascar. Though Fox needs to open their eyes and do better next year. Seriously.
I don't have a problem with the CW broadcasting NASCAR races, though I don't like a lot of the camera footage and wish they'd hire better camera operators. Maybe they could also get a retired driver like Kasey Kahne or Kurt Busch to step in the booth and call some races. That would be an improvement.
The local CW affiliate isn’t on RU-vidTV where I live. Kinda sad NASCAR did this deal. I enjoy the Xfinity races more than the cup ones, but not enough to buy an antenna.
Last week I had The CW show Detroit Club Soccer over the Xfinity race. The stadium sits 8,000 people at full capacity. Who in the world thought airing a club soccer match over a Xfinity race was a good idea?
Not a huge fan of the cw so far. Tried to watch xfinity qualifying last week, but apparently the cw just… didn’t have it? Even though they were supposed to? And the race started like 15 minutes late became of another broadcast, which I guess I can understand, but there were a bunch of other issues too… it just didn’t seem like they cared as much as they acted like they did, you know? It’s like the reverse of Leigh Diffey, instead of just kinda appearing and then going above and beyond and showing they want to do their best for the fans, they acted like it was a big deal and then delivered a subpar product
CW has already dropped the ball when using other networks resources. I can't even imagine how terrible the coverage will be next year when the CW handles all of it. Last week I couldn't watch the Xfinity race at all, it just wasn't on YT TV in my area. The same goes for the Cup race, which I know is not CW, but I was at least able to watch the Cup race on NBC Sports by linking my YT TV account ( I live in Utah and it was General Conference for LDS people so my NBC channel was just showing that).
Here is the thing about Xfinity racing. I want to see it more than the cup race. Just because the cars can race around each other. Its a better SHOW in my opinion
The cup car needs A more narrow wheel&tire to slow the car down in the corners & make them Harder to drive into& out of the corners. Less flat out time
The CW is...weird, a lot of the affiliates don't broadcast in HD, because they're on a subchannels, and to save bandwidth, subchannels of local affiliates tend not to be in HD. Like in, say, Rapid City, SD, the CW Affiliate is broadcast on KCLO-DT2, which is an 720p subchannel of KCLO. It's 720p while KCLO-DT1, which is CBS, gets to broadcast in HD. There's also CW Plus, which isn't a second CW Channel like how USA is to NBC, but is a "programming feed" for medium and small markets, which takes syndication and programming out of the affiliates hands and is centrally controlled through the CW's main Burbank HQ as well as KTLA (I think?), so there may not be any problems with ACC Pre-emptions. Of course, MY CW affiliate broadcasts in sparkling HD, it's just that I can't get it half the time because its antenna is in a completely different area from all the rest of my area station's transmitters and thus I have to have an extremely good day to have a signal that doesn't break up every 10 seconds. and I am NOT surprised the CW is deciding to cheap out. Nexstar LOVES to cut corners.
See that’s the opposite for me. I’ve been able to watch every CW race since they started in full HD. Now I’m also in the greater Charlotte area so that probably has some effect saying that it’s the home of NASCAR. It’s sad to see everybody else having issues with something that’s supposed to be really good.
A rather strange way to hand out media rights to an organization that does not actually exist in three US states. Something is just not right from the outside looking in. NASCAR has a race in New Hampshire. Yet l understand the CW is not available in New Hampshire. They must need to stream the entire Xfinity Series to get the coverage AND LIVE
To me personally weather it's floracing, or fs1, if they're remote, it's as obvious as can possibly be. There's always that technical glych, that slip up that gives it away every single time.
CW is perfect Free on antenna You just have to move antenna to find it NASCAR is going to all broadcasters being in Charlotte NASCAR production, the way the future
I thought the whole point of the CW was to have streaming. It’s such a slap in the face that I went from watching weekly to not being able to watch anymore. The only way I can watch is the replay on the website the day after and that’s not fun
I work weekends and because cw doesn't stream the race live I haven't been able to watch any xfinity playoff at all this year I can only watch the highlight reel on RU-vid afterwards
IMO, the only time remote comms is acceptable is at tracks that suck (Vegas, Phoenix, TexARSE, short tracks that are not North Wilkesboro this era), everywhere else is a BIG NO. The CW in my area is usually glitching with both video and audio, but otherwise keeps the time for the race juat for the race. All it needs is its own graphics and crew (Rick Allen stays, but replace the NBC crew with fresh faces, CW is not NBC and NBC is not CW)
As someone who travels with fire stick and has plus channels I’ve been unable to get the CW on race day. They do say if you stream you will NOT be able to see it live , next day only… I never knew this and I love watching all the series.
CW has been terrible. Seems like it’s broadcasted in 720p and looks really bad on larger screens. Also the audio is trash and goes from totally fine to completely quiet and not able to hear anyone. Lastly, I can’t take one more Snapchat commercial…
It is indeed 720p, which is embarrassing in this time and period. Audio for me feels like it's been delayed a bit, with video glitching out. Also, the Snapchat commercials are still better than the slop NBC amd Fox put up (TOO. MANY. DAM. REALITY SHOWS)
I think that since they are suing NASCAR then they should not be allowed to race as charter teams since they didn’t sign the charter agreement and until the lawsuit is resolved then they will have to race as an open car
I do appreciate it all being actually free and Same channel every week. I think cup should have to air on a free national channel every race every year.
As a Canadian NASCAR fan, watching the Xfinity races on TSN (Canada's ESPN affiliate) hasn't been so bad. Especially because I don't have to worry about what Eric was talking about watching the Xfinity Series through a local partner.
I tried to watch the race on Saturday but the only way I could watch it was via streaming it via their app... I don't have local and what was available on RU-vid TV, no NASCAR was an option. So I was forced to give their streaming app a try, but their app didn't work so I couldn't watch the race. Nothing in the app worked. lol :/ Needless to say, I missed the race.
I must be the one person who doesn’t have access to the CW over the air. I have exhausted every method to find it. Had to watch Bristol on some sketchy streaming site and it was a Canadian TSN feed. Finally broke down and got Hulu Live TV, but honestly that’s been better for watching Cup races and NHL games so I’m happy with it.
My only issue with the CW broadcasts is that they seem to be in standard definition on my RU-vid TV service. I'm hoping that is something they intend to rectify before next season. Remember, they initially were supposed to start broadcasting next season and then later it was announced that they would take over mid season.
In Detroit area they have had one race on regular cw in HD. The others have been on some random 62.3 digital channel. Last week it had no audio. I can watch the replay the next day but it just sucks.
Any station that brought the world Buffy the Vampire Slayer shouldn’t be allowed to have stock cars! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 but in all seriousness yall thought Fox was bad with commercials and the broadcast hasn’t been good at all with I’d argue the most entertaining and exciting series Xfi cars deserve better!
I HATE CW! I havent been able to watch a single Xfinity race since CW. If you dont have cable you can't watch it. Period. They dont even broadcast it on their OWN APP, but they advertise it like they do. You have to wait till the next day to watch the race and hope you dont get a spoiler. It's the worst broadcasting I've ever seen for anything
My main issue is why do they advertise that they have the live broadcast on their app, but it has never been broadcasting live on it once. This is a direct quote from their website "simply install The CW for free on your preferred device and tune in on the days of the live events to watch. " Which is a lie! I don't use cable or satellite. I've heard that it works in some areas for people and not in other areas. For everything Internet wise you can't find the live feed anywhere
I don't even get the CW network. On Sling it says CW network stating the race but shows ION channel. Same thing with the TV. Been listening to the races since
It's definitely going to alter things. Turn 7 is a hairpin turn now. Turn 6 has a hump in it so severe that the drivers are calling it a motorcross jump
