Over the past season a small oil leak was discovered on my starboard side motor on the inboard rear side. In this video we remove the intake, replace the damaged gasket and put everything back together into specs.

Cool video again Chris. I think I'd be changing the port side intake gasket too since there was that antifreeze gel in this one. Especially since you're going through all this work. Just a thought ;)

I not a master mechanic. Since you found some antifreeze goop in the one engine. I would maybe be tempted to redo the other engine intake as well. One less thing to do in the future.

I was wondering if it could be washed out with a flush and descaling solution.

Is that a Chrysler? Last time I worked on one, I think I had a difficult time with the end seals. Sometimes it's best to just use Ultra Gray. On the other hand, I just put together a Chevy 454 gen 6 and the end seals have dowels built into them so they don't slide off the engine block when you are placing the intake manifold.

It’s a Crusader 270 which is essentially a Chevy 350. The end seals don’t have the pegs like you mentioned. These have little tabs that help hood them in place.
