We definitely wanted to use the truck and camper again in 2023. We left the rig parked at friends in Alabama all summer, and then flew down from Alaska into Atlanta, rented a car, and got back to our rig. The girls call the camper Ol' Blue because the Jayco logo is a blue jay, and we call the truck Stetson when we love it, and Gasquatch when we have to fill up (which is approximately every 37 minutes.)
We were chasing fall colors through the Blue Ridge mountains for about 2 weeks and that included the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains, Brevard, Hendersonville, etc. It was absolutely worth the trip! This trip went from "maybe" to "100% have to" when Joe and my siblings, Jeremiah, & Carleigh decided to all meet up in North Carolina. It ended up being a family reunion / great roadtrip.
Roadschooling the girls is going well as we travel, but I think they are museum'd out, and tired of hiking. It makes them actually look forward to sitting down for a chill day of book work.
More to come from our travel vlogs, and Alaska off grid vlogs as well since Joe and Bonnie are now home.
