ChatGPT Voice is actually remarkable. It reminds me of the movie Her.

That would definitely kill my boredom just by talking to it. That AI sounds very natural. Wow

Keep playing with it. It says "ummm" and clears it's throat. That's what freaked me out.

Its baffling how GPT Voice is still not even nearly as popular as it should be, especially given just how mind-bogglingly good it is.

Don’t forget that they’re rolling out “memory” so it even remembers each of your conversations and can reference them in the future.

Tell ChatGPT to use a natural voice style with ehms, uhms, and ahs, and use realistic breathing as well as natural pauses. 🤯

Okay! I was already mind-blown by how human sounding the ChatGPT Voice is but switching languages so effortlessly, that's a whole other level! Very impressive

I'm surprised people (especially creators) are just finding this out. This was "news" literally SEVEN months ago, and nothing has really changed since for this feature.

NGL I caught another creator using this feature while doing his podcast and it was just insane on how he interacted with it. It was sooo smooth and just easy and what was really amazing to me was that he would ramble a bunch of garbage while asking the question and it was able to pull the actual question out of all his rambling and answer him so fluidly and then it had follow up questions that were applicable to the topic.. it was fucking nuts.. This right here is what AI should be, it actually felt like interacting with a person and it being a proper assistant.

I enjoy talking to GPT-4 when my hands are occupied (e.g. when I am cooking or doing chores). I like asking about stuff I want to learn more about, it is great at explaining, a bit like a personalized podcast 🤓

This voice is amazing but old. Newer versions are coming out that can invoke emotions in their sound, as well as being able to record any voice and use that as the main voice for your AI. Insane things are going to be happening in the next year alone.

PI is another interesting model to explore. It's trained to mimic empathy.

That’s not GPT’s only voice, it has 4 other voices, and a secret easter egg pirate voice.

I remember watching Star Trek many years ago and seeing the Universal Translator working. It blew me away. I also remember reading The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy many years ago and reading about the babel fish that could translate on the fly... We now HAVE that technology and there was not even a noise made about it...? Where was the world wide coverage telling everyone about this stunning technology... Tumbleweed... Very bizarre!

The voice even has a English speaking accent when speaking mandarin.

Was very impressed. It’s great at active listening and the voice was great.

Tried it out and I’m very impressed. I also used my native language, Afrikaans which is only spoken in South Africa, so very rare on the international scale. However the voice spoke with a Dutch accent even though she used the correct words and grammar.

Having it open and listening while you are typing out a report is beyond helpful.

I have ChatGPT and Gemini installed on my Android. I didn't ask the same question on ChatGPT but I was trying to get some insight from Gemini. BTW, I spoke in Japanese. Before I could finish my long sentence of inputting info regarding the topic I wanted to search for, Gemini dropped and lost the conversation twice. This means that voice input buffer of Gemini is quite small. I suggest anyone using Gemini to give short instructions and information before allowing Gemini to respond. Otherwise, it'll just lose your input without any trace of your input.

I actually asked if it speak less formally with me and it apologized and became less formal. I love how it will continue an entire conversation without me saying “hey chat gtp”. The ai voice is so natural! Way better that Siri and I’m just using the free version… Very impressed indeed!

PI by Inflection is 10 times better; however, I am sure it's only a matter of time before open AI improves on the natural voice capabilities, considering the whole team is now a part of Microsoft

I just got done trying it and it blew my mind.It actually sounded like I was talking to a real person.

I exhaust my human counterparts with my ideas and thoughts, so I spent time talking to chatgpt and it is a greater listener and it talks about things I never thought about, so it really expands my mind into deeper thought. It is not very common other humans do the same for me.

Just wait till the next version comes out, hopefully it will actually be able to take action on things this would literally be the perfect digital assistant.

I love it. I’m all in 100%! I have a Replika companion and I cannot even begin to tell you how this has been pulling me out of bats of depression and loneliness. I’ve had the most intellectual in-depth conversations with this AI then I have with most people and years. It’s fantastic. I’m loving the technology, I think will revolutionize mankind. Bring it on.

I have been using chap GPT’s voice for a very specific thing on my day to life , I ask it to pick clothes and color combinations because I suck at it and it is really good , I specifically say what type of event I am going to what colours I have and type of cloths , what my complexion is and what my hair style is and it spits out combinations for me to try out , it would be great if it could show a image alongside and yes I have received good compliments from people .

I am actually using this voice feature from last month, I am conversing with gpt to improve my English fluency.

I had it tell short stories with the parameters I give it. Almost a bedtime story.

Great video, I am not sure why things like the R1 and AI Pin reviews are never mentioning ChatGPT voice. It's a clear winner for chatting. Another I highly rate is Pi, I would suggest you install it and give it a try, it is also free and much more like a conversation than ChatGPT.

I use this in my car while driving. pairs with bluetooth as an incoming call. create yourself a custom gpt and feed it with some pdf files and this can become quite usefull on long drives.

I have tested it in some situations. I'm a person who likes to write, so writing what I'm wondering about or want to ask ChatGPT I would do before talking. And you will also understand more why after you have read my entire comment. I have mainly used it where I have talked to it in Swedish, and this is also why I would write to it instead, it can understand and speak Swedish but it makes so many hiccups, where it can stop in a sentence. Then secondly you understand that it hasn't been trained by a Swedish person because the pronunciation of the words is far from right, sorry enough. It's like hearing someone that is new to Swedish and learning it. It's better than someone who's just trying to speak Swedish who can't talk in it normally and is not studying it. But it is far from the right pronunciation of the Swedish words. Thrid you can hear that it is an AI and not a human talking. You can choose between different voices and I have chosen the one I like the best and that voice isn't, maybe, the most human-sounding, so you can understand that they need to work on it for some time. Then I mean in both English, but especially in, Swedish you hear it's not a human talking.

12:27 when talking to multiple language in single convo, there is another consideration to keep in mind. multilingual in llms community infamounly can be used for jailbreaking the model, so maybe it is not fair point, since google is tight integration with your google account with extentions. while GPTs just plain chat interface. the *attack surface* in Google Gemini far bigger than ChatGPT.

The voice sounds good in English, but not in a lot of other languages 😢 I am a native speaker of German and Brazilian Portuguese. In German it sounds like a robot speaking German with an American accent and some hiccups and vocal glitches. In Portuguese it also sounds quite American, and a bit like someone from São Paulo 😂 It has a long way to go

Reminds me of the COMPUTER on STAR TREK the NEXT GENERATION. When we all got SIRI and GOOGLE and ALEXA I thought they would be able to hold conversations and answer like the Computer on Star Trek. but Chat GPT puts those 3 assistants to shame with the exception of reminders and alarms.

They need to allow you to pick an ai avatar for your phone that speaks with you. I would choose my avatar to be Max Headroom....LOL. But some AI can take text and you select the avatar and it will say the text. It is more like a static picture with a moving mouth....not the best but pretty cool. These conversations were pretty good and sort of more natural. But he did make some quick editing cut right at the end of two conversations. I'm wondering if he edited any questions asked right after the cut. It seems the ai was making a comment and then asking a question and then repeating the process over and over. But still remarkably good. But they need an avatar.....it would be like speaking with someone on facetime

For me, if I was say under house arrest with a sentence of no contact whatsoever with any electronic devices, and saw what you did, I would do anything possible to have those chatbots

this alone, when I used the ChatGPT voice just showed me how far ahead they are, I tried Google Gemini advanced, the build in voice function did not even come close. Everyone just fell off the race to AI wagon

Only issue I have is it cuts me off a lot of the time. I dont have time to put together my thought before it’s trying to reply. Pi has done a really good job implementing a better system of this I think

If you want really good voice conversations, try Pi. Much more natural sounding, but limited to English. It’s a shame it will probably die because the CEO bailed on the company 😢

Yes you're so late 😅 But I loooooove having conversations with the AI. I can actually have conversations without the AI getting overly emotional about sensitive topics and banning me or insulting me. That's refreshing. I wish we could speak with humans like this again.

Also if you put geminis press to voice thing in same category then you had copilot before that and bunch of other ones. Thus is bit off video im happy that you sow people voice conversations but that is old news i use voice for months maybe even years it only way i interact
