@@davidcurry2390 the only better portrayal of that level of high is the eating chips in the lobby of the planetarium scene from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
@Matrixnukum that movie is the reason its legal in most states ,fun fact Oregon de criminalized pot in the mid 70s, if caught with an ounce or less it was a fine, however the republicans got control in the late 80s about the Ray Gun administration, without a citizens vote bumped it back up to a felony, patted themselves on the back Oregon beware, dont trust them
@@LEOHACKMAN247 oh yes they were the baby boomers, but several generations got it, and as I have said before we started a movement, it took three generation to achieve, its still going
I shall do good by thanking my good god in advanced for his healing blessing forgiveness and promises over our lifes and r and dad. And my life and all supports for the good of health and all kids . When I first saw this movie my stomach hurt from laughing so much..40 years ago. I must have seen all Cheech and Chong movies about 20 times..epic comedy
Saw this at the Drive-in when it first came out. We were sitting in my buddy's fully customized White Dodge Van. This scene was totally unexpected and set the mood for the rest of the night!
Haha same thing , it took us about 3.5 hrs to watch this movie. We kept rewinding and going back after having a laughing fit while baked out of our gourds🤣
Tommy and Cheech, best comedy duo. How can you not love these guys. Never a shortage of laughter, no matter how long ago this was or how many times you’ve seen it. You had to be there. Smoke ‘em if ya got ‘em 🌿🚬🌿
So true. My grandparents aren’t even stoners but they grew up with and love Cheech & Chong’s stuff. Even before their movies, with their standup skit tapes.
"I sure wish we had some!" Those were the deepest words spoken in the Movie! We all want things out of reach, rarely realizing that what we truly want is far closer, yet easy to overlook.
Absolutely! Even just an ounce of creativity can go a long way. Watch for shapes in the clouds when waiting for a bus or listen for birds, count cars😄....the list goes as far as the mind can and it doesn't really take much most of the time.
They were all hilarious, but you should have seen them do their act LIVE!. In a theater full of the bluest smoke you've ever inhaled. I'm 70 y/o now and have never had as much fun as I did that night 50 yrs ago. NEVER!!
What an amazing movie that was/is. So funny! So completely filled with insanely funny lines. Everybody who was in that movie was perfect!! I remember I peed myself a little when I first saw this bit with the motorcycle cop. That dude that played that, did it so flawlessly that to this day it still floors me!
Did you have to wait in a lineup ? When I saw it the theater opened early for an extra showing ( second show started almost on time) Lineups with many people " smoking " , Everybody happy and enjoying the experience ! I have this on VHS !!!! And several working VCRS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw this film in the theater, way back when, but haven't seen it since so I don't remember much other than how funny it was. Of course that is likely due to the fact that I watched it while I was "Up in smoke" myself. I need to get the DVD of this.
My parents would never watch these movies when I was a kid, but the second I turned 18 my dad and I would watch these and he'd actually laugh his ass off.
Try to find the bit when they go to the drive-in movie after putting friends in the car trunk, get stoned, and forget the guys in the trunk. Hilarious.
Me and my friends use to watch this movie once a week back in the early 80's. Favourite line............ Cheech.......... "I SMOKED THAT MICHOAC'AN MAN, I SMOKED THAT ACAPULCO GOLD MAN, I SMOKED THAT TIED STICK". Chong............. "TIED STICK?? WHATS TIED STICK??? " Cheech ............"YOU KNOW..... THAT STUFF THATS TIED TO A STICK" Love thses guys.
I saw this movie when it premiered at the lynn four theater in lynnwood washington. It was rated R. But my brother knew the guy who was selling tickets and he let us in any way for a matinee when the manager wasn't there on a sunday. My mother bought me both Cheech & Chong comedy albums for Christmas that year. Los Chochinos and Big Bambu. I've always been a big fan of these guys.
@@mrnasty02106 That was an MTV product, only available in California and upper middle class school kids. The statement was more geared toward those in government creating both for the people and that essentially they are the same as they go hand in hand, much like today. We are in much the same economic position as in the 70's, but worse in some ways, and bound to be worse in others to come, as is a given to our current trajectory. (sigh) Oh wait, I forgot, it's Trump's fault....🇨🇦🤡🌎🐂💩
@@ThePresidentialTouch You're lucky this comments section is not a face-to-face room. I will admit...the economy under Biden is horseshit. I work in retail and hate it. Being from Chicago, what can you expect from me? I didn't know that was from MTV, and one of those "only in CA" things. I hate Chicago as if its...Iraq, but sometimes I hate (old/former) CA even more. At least I know there are 50 states, IL is more than just the hole I'm from, and CA encompasses more than just LA.
@@mrnasty02106 Is this an internet tough-guy thing you have trying to go on here? If so, it's cute. It's not a Biden economy, it's Barry's controlled demolition of a good economy via a figurative puppet. Nothing. Well, now you do. Good that you got out of Chiraq. Yes, it does, but it doesn't act like it.
That’s was the best shit ever, fucking priceless, if only the whole world could be that friendly and chilled out and not on pot because in the long run it burns out your throat.
