That’s women from all cultures cause if your skin/hair/nails/shoes/outfit/face look off people will degrade you for it from a very early age so women have think about that stuff or they’ll be called ugly, lazy or treated as less than…even to land a good job you need these things completely in check. and not only the social media problem, also the relative or the people around them are so judgemental that's why maybe some people get insecure abt their self

beauty standards differ from country to country and region to region. From an Asian point of view, it's hard to understand why Westerners tan their skin to get more spots and wrinkles and make them older, or why they have painful piercings and ugly tattoos all over their bodies.

People who get Tattoos don't think they are "ugly," and a lot of people find Tattoos sexy. It is just your opinion. I have seen quite a few Japanese men and women with tattoos since I moved to Japan. In my opinion they can be very beautiful, they can also look bad if the tattoo is done badly. Like Japan tattoos in the west didn't always used to be cool. People used to think that only criminals get them and that probably didn't change till the 90s. Now it is about looking however you personally like in the west. Not everyone tans, and a lot of people who want to look tan use fake tan to not damage their skin. I think it is embracing all skin types, people are naturally tan or dark skin and they tan easy even with 50 proof sun screen, then some people have such light skin they burn only in the summer even with 100 proof sun screen and they wish they could tan and didn't suffer from the sun. I personally don't tan on purpose ever, and don't get the appeal of changing one's skin color lighter or darker for a beauty standard. But if that makes someone more confident in themselves then there is nothing wrong with it. It doesn't hurt others, so people should be allowed to do what makes them happy.

I don't even know that she was necessarily "chubby" some people just naturally have wider body shapes without it being fat/chubby. She also had a loose sweater on that may have made her look a little wider. I thought she was adorable too. I lived her hair, and her dress was adorable, she was like a pretty doll.
